Brave... do remember that you are always trying to get out of the way of the blow whethere you dodge or not, it is not as if you just stand there and take it. A 'dodge' represents particualr extra effort to do so though.

Fire rolls +1- a 16, for a definite hit. Fire holds back and uses his superior reach to slash across your left arm, Azrael, for six damage!

Yeah but I can't dodge unless I use some focus - Hands Of Shadow. How much total focus do you have Fire?

Unless... can I use an exertion to dodge?

I have a total of 15 focus, the maximum you can have

and everytime you dodge you gain one extertion, wether it is a focus dodge or not

Don't worry. Defend is just the default, so it is what you have been doing.

That system will get a tweak soon though.

(You can always dodge or block without focus, Trickster, though it is a bad idea to blow a sword with your bare hands without focus...)

(try not to use the word 'block' for that kind of thing as it can confuse with Focus Powers that Block, which is more specific)

Yeah I'm @ school right now, and I have had double ICT. Since when he uses Hand Of Shadow I can't d o a defence, when he attacks I won't do anything(apart from the normal defence). I'll be back on in a few hours, and I'm gunna post the first part of my story. I would have replied quicker but we had the pleasur of a fire alarm!

You can defend, using powers, just not a basic dodge, but I shall bear that in mind. Have fun...
