Ok. Well, you can fire six bursts. Each burst past the first at a target gets you +1 to hit. But the maximum bonus is +3, so firing more that four at a target is pointless.
However, you can split your bursts between targets in the same general area. But remember that if you are firing at multiple targets, you get minus one to hit for each target. So firing at 2 gives you -2 on each, firing at 3 gives you -3 on each etc.
So the three most common uses of burst fire are:
1. Four bursts on one guy for +3 to hit
2. Six bursts, three each on two targets. That gives yopu +2 to bit on each, then -2 for firing at two targets, so that becomes a dead evens attack at both.
3. Six bursts, two each at three targets. This is +1 to hit for the two bursrs on each, but then -3 on each because of the three targets, so that is an attack of -2 on each. A tricky shot but good rolling could take out three targets!
Damnit Azreal, you ask for mundanes around, and you should know that Ush is gonna throw something at us to kill...lol. This is what happens when I'm out all day with my friends...
Anyway. I shall create some cover for myself by flipping over another table and at fire 3 bursts each at the two guys that Azreal hit. Shell of the Turtle for defense.
A defensive action is unneccessary as you have this action 'over' them as it were.
On form, San! You roll +7 and +4, for a 21 and an 18! A Hit for 10 and one for 7, and that guy was already hit, so you blow both of them away!
Now, let's see what happens at the start of the next action (which is actually the first action as the two of you got bonus actions for having Speed 10).
San: 10/0/1
Azrael: 10/0/1
4 Mafia Goons: 0/0
Where the first number for the Goons is their Hits, and the second one is their exertion.
Their exertion is lower than yours so they open fire. Two attacks on each of you!
I won't bother asking for defensive actions because, frankly, these guys are unlikely to hit. They are not using burst fire and you two are in cover! Still, let's see...
Ooohh... we had one +6, which makes a 15, but in cover it was 16s to hit you! So you are all safe.
And now you two may fire back again... remember that Ingrams carry ten bursts each, Glock 18s carry 11.
I have no idea what those numbers are meant to be. This is simple. You are firing two bursts on each. That gives +1 to hit on each. But you get -2 to hit on each as you are firing at two targets.
1 -2 = -1. Ok?
And that action is also two attacks so that would also get you a -2 penalty to both moves...
This does leave you technically coverless but on the other hand that was a martial arts move pulled off without charging down and hence getitng a bonus attack on you. And yes, I agree, environment use is good...
If San is REALLY clever now, she could make it so you being coverless is not a problem. Mind you as she is as new to this new version as you, that would be pushing it a bit.
