USH'S MATRIX GAME- The Dojo

If you 'charge' (defined as entering close combat from a distance) someone then that person, and his friends near him, can take advantage of things that can happen whilst being charged. The most obvious of those is that if you have a firearm and are charged, you get a free attack in the person charging (all other charge-dependant things are Path powers).

However, this would not mean they would ALL have to fight San if she charged, no. Although the one she most recently hit would not be able to fire at you without fleeing combat and giving her a free hit at him.

Hmmm.. When Ive got more time i'll digest that, but i have to go do a 'quiz'. Be back soon

I'm back. It was too hard. The average score is two outof a lot(50, 100 sumat lkike that). Okay, so because I did a move, without charging, theydon't get a free attck. And evenif he did, he was knocked down, so he can't shoot. Am i right?

Hmm...being as I haven't got any idea what Ush is talking about by saying that I could do something that would make is so that it wouldn't matter is Azreal is in cover or not...(though I'm sure you'll tell me later...). If I'm correct, we have 1 guy knocked down and weaponless, and 3 more standing. So...hmm. I shall draw my second gun and fire 3 bursts BGB into two of the guys that are still standing.

Azreal -- If I were to charge, that means that the bad guy's would all get free attacks on me while I approach them.

Ok! Come on ush!

*taps foot and waits impatiently*

Sorry, I have been dealing with Christmas relatives!

Just so you know, what I was referring to was that if San had fired at all three remaining guys who were going to fire soon, then they all would have dodged, thus gaining an exertion, then next action they would all have been on the same exertion as you, and as players you would have fired first. And now you know!

San, you roll evens and evens. How very dull! As they dodge, that is two hits for 3.

And now, the next action!

San: 10/0/1
Azrael: 10/0/1

2 Mafia Goons: 3/1
1 Mafia Goon: 6/1 (prone)
1 Mafia Goons: 0/0

This tells me that goon number four, with the lowest exertion, is acting first. He fires at Azrael! I shall need a defensive action, if he wants one, from A\rael, and then both San and Azrael can take their own actions before the two other goons fire at you (whilst the final one gets up)

Oh damn it, I was going to fire at all three of them but thought better of it...

Well I gotta go for now, I'll try to get back on later tonight, if not I'll be back Friday (since I'll be at my aunt's tomorrow). Merry Christmas everyone!!!

To you too! Feel free to leave an attack ready to go though!

Two bursts on the goon that hasn't been hit yet and two bursts on one of the goons that's hit for three, willow step for defense.

So noted! Now waiting on Azrael.

Azrael rolls to one side(assuming hes still on the floor, then pulls his guns, four bursts on the guy that just fired.

Azreal - you have to post what your actual defense will be. You can just use a basic dodge, or you can use a Path power (like Willow Step or Shell of the Turtle)...just a little advice, it's something you should get in the habit of doing, as I found out the hard way.

Neat. I asusme that was a dodge. He rolls an evens, and as you roll away his bullets simply strike the floor, and then you fire, and roll -1, for a final total of 16, a Hit for 5 as your target throws himself to one side...

Then San fires. She rolls +1 on the guy who just fired (who had previously not been hit) for a 13, a hit for 3, which takes him to 8 hits and dead! As he throws himself away from your fire, Azrael, he simply throws himself into San's!

She also rolls +1 on her other bursts, taking him to a Hit of 6...

Two shots coming, they can both go on San as she is in cover. With the Willow Step that makes her unlikely to be hit! +3 and -7... both misses!

San: 8/0/2
Azrael: 10/0/1

1 Mafia Goon: 3/1
1 Mafia Goon: 6/1
1 Mafia Goons 6/2

Ok, next action, Azrael acts first...

If i abundant leaped into them, would that give them a free attack?

Yeah. Those leaps are normally only for manoeuvrability, getting between buildings etc. In general there is no way to prevent that free gun attack other than waiting until they are not loaded. It's normally easy to dodge; it's only if there are dozens of bad guys that it bcomes hard.

OKay, Azrael charges them, picking up a chair as he stands, and as he runs, throwes it at them.(I could do that in real life,, but i guess you're stil gunna giive me an exertion?) If i used a focus, could i dowithout gaining exertion?

If you have Leaping Storm and the power Gathering of the Clouds, yes. Do you do so?

Hmmm gimme a sec. If they are in the leaping storm path, then i do cos m a master😛

I am pretty sure you get away with that then! In which case, that is worth two points of cover from their reflex attack. Oooh, he rolls +3, nice try, but a miss nonetheless!

So, you wish to make an attack?
