The only reason that seems clearly is the cloning of Oracle. But Oracle didnt use to fly. 🙁

They could never defeat each other as it has been pointed out, as they are one in the same. The person who defeated Smith was both Deus Ex and The Oracle. But again, it also goes back to my point...

Neo learned of the Oracle's trap FIRST, Smith last - by when it was too late 🙂

I am sure Smith say's "Always one step ahead of me..." Or something along those lines. I am not entirely sure, but you get the point?

a while back in this thread someone said that they needed zion to exist so the one could live there.. i got to thinking . maybe the machines will create another "the one" and go back to war with man kind. that would suck severe ass 🙁
they have no real use for the one anymore if their no longer at war. the anomilies just go to zion and live their crappy human lives.

the machines don't create 'the anomalies', the anomalies just happen. did you pay attention when the architect was talking? if the machines agree to peace, they won't break the peace, they aren't 'fickle' like humans, they on't just change their minds on a whim. if the peace ends, it will be at the hands of the humans.

The Wachowski bro's are definetly the best marketers out there..instead of taking the time and effort to answer all these questions in the movies they left them un-answered, and thus kept us all talking about the Matrix long after most movies get boring. I gotta try it with my science h/w, do you reckon the teacher would be more intersested in my work if I got her to answer the questions for me? He he he...

ok, so, if the oracle knows the future and everything has happened already, adn theyre just living it out, and they've already made their choices, like, couldnt the oracle see something, then change it?? like, if she told neo he was going to play hopscotch at 9:47 pm on saturday, and that is actually what she saw, couldnt neo like, not play hopscotch at that time?? i know your thinking that he wouldve already made the choice to not play hopscotch after he heard he was going to play hopscotch, but if him playing hopscotch was actually what the oracle saw?? would she be deleted if she wasn't right? what if the oracle saw neo get shot, then she took a bullet for neo or something??

The oracle is does not see the future. She is programmed to be very advanced at predicting the outcome of situations or the probability, so she is called an "oracle" even though she does not see it happening, she says it will happen just because that is what the most probable outcome is.

i think she knows what would happen because she's been through it 5 times before. but throughout those five times, the process of reloading the matrix and the destruction of zion all happened exactly the same. the only way she didn't know some stuff was because she altered the path of the one and she made choices she couldn't understand. proof that she can't see the future is when she asked smith "what have you done with sati?" and the her shell being terminated.

There is solid undeniable proof at the end of Revolutions where she says "No, no i didn't, but i believed... i believed" in response to Seraph asking if "she always knew".

So where the hell did you even think up she could actually see the future??

i know the extenuating circumsatnces weren't exactly the same, but the results were... the meeting with the architect, the reloading of the matrix and the destruction of zion.

the burly brawl! the burly brawl can be avoid if neo just fly away since Smith doesn kno how to fly. Thus neo is just wasting his time, his energy...

i guess he was saying neo coulda flown away before the burly brawl. but you have to remember, bazooka... that neo was unaware of smith's new ability since that was their first confrontation in about six months or so. plus, i'm sure that he was unaware of smith's existence after he blew smith up.

That's not true if you say neo is unaware of the existence of Smith:

Smith: Surprised to see me?
Neo: No.
Smith: Then you're aware of it.
Neo: Of what?
Smith: Our connection.

Neo may not know Smith's new ability, but after see many Smith appear, he suppose to know burly brawl is going to happen. He could flown away and not mess up with Smith, isn't?
