No, did not delete anything. Was checking for the ability to reformat and reload, like we discussed earlier.

Am still moving my fav web sites to this computer. geez, I must have several hundred, since I'm doing it one at a time.

Wanted to check to see if I can safely reformat, when I'm done moving all my fav web sites here, and reload.

If you're around when I'm done moving all my fav web sites, then I'll venture to reformatting/reloading once we're both satisfied I won't self destruct

we're still where I can't access D drive when booting up by floppy. I have some missing files as well as having an old Win95. RC went to look through his stuff to update me. I'm still moving my fav websites from old computer to this one. Am on lunch break now. going to move laundry over in one minute, then I'll be back.

Ok, Keo, that means you have no DOS drivers for your CD drive, and it is these I think RC is looking for.

What's this about missing dll files? Is this happening every time you boot up, and for how long?

I think I get one error message everytime I boot up.

ok, laundry moved over. Since RC hasn't come back yet, I'm going over to the old computer to move more fav websites this way. Didn't realize I had saved so much good stuff. Alot of it is research/reference material.

When did the missing dll message thing start, and is it actually causing any problems apart from the error message?

RC did one better than that, RC made Keo a Universal Boot Disk that should run pretty much ANY CD.

OK, it's just a Windows 98 Boot disk, but it will do the job to get the system running so Keo can install Win 95.

Ok, Keo, this is what ya do.[list=1]
[*]Either format a floppy or get a new floppy. If you are formatting it must be done on a Windows 95/98 PC, NOT on NT or 2000
[*]The file A.exe is a zipfile, I send you a PM with the location of the file for you to download.
[*]With the blacnk disk in the floppy of your PC, run A.exe
[*]It will ask to unzip to A😬 Click Unzip
[*]Use the newly created disk to boot the PC you're rebuilding
[*]It should give you three options, the top one is Boot with CDROM Support, choose this.
[*]Once you get the prompt, put in your Win95 CD
[*]Type "E:" (Not quotes)
[*]Type DIR
[*]See Listing
[*]Tell me I'm great!!! (This better work now or I'll look dumb)

Ok, I found your PM, printed it out (worked that time), downloaded it to my hard drive and to a floppy disk.
