Well, here's my take on your questions, Stormfront.
1. Calcium arrows do not exist. Well, at least not on Google, Yahoo, or MSN. As for the back alleys of Egypt where Storm was raised? It wouldn't surprise me if something similar to this was around, but calcium arrows seems like a very far fetched possibility to me; see below for why.
2. Andrew Weil, prominent and noted M.D., has said that taking too much calcium can lead to such side effects as constipation, dry mouth, a continuing headache, increased thirst, irritability, loss of appetite, depression, a metallic taste in the mouth, and fatigue. Now, if you think about it, it's not like eating four jugs of calcium will immediately result in all these things. The foot or supplements in which the calcium is in must be digested or broken down first.
So the thing about these calcium arrows? I'm assuming, rather bluntly, that not unlike Mystique injecting the iron into the guard in X-Men 2: X-Men United, the arrows are dipped or loaded with PURE calcium. On contact, they enter the bloodstream and the excess amount travels all throughout the body. Too much calcium is described as three times the normal dose, so I'd assume these arrows would be loaded with at least 10 times the normal dose to initiate an immediate effect. And the symptoms were listed above.
3. glass·ine (n.): A nearly transparent, resilient glazed paper resistant to the passage of air and grease.
Wait, what? It's almost see through, it's flexible, its reflective a bit, and it's not permeable to air and grease. So, how exactly Storm would use this in clouds to make laser beams beats me. If it's transparent, its okay to see she can use it to focus sunlight; but if its also glazed, that'll be tricky. I suppose it would be like a magnifying glass, which can burn little ants up by focusing sunlight. So I say that it would sort of be like flinging the sun at someone, but to a MUCH lesser extent because the glassine fragments are glazed, so part of it would be reflected off. The most I say it can do is...give someone a sunburn.

she could cast down calcium arrows from the skeleton belt floating above the cloud layer.
^^ she is on an alien planet(the hill) so maybe that is the reason. and about the lasers all the comic said was that
glassine fragments hanging within the clouds could focus light from the sun allowing her to fling ruby lasers from the skies
