Has Rogue and Gambit now officially left the X-Men? And has Rogue's name been revealed as Marion? Picked up a comic in the shop today and read the last page. Didn't have a clue what was going on!
Although, (the "real"😉 Rogue's name was revealed to be "Anna Marie" in her most recent solo series.
Here's a MARVEL related question. More specifically, the Avengers.
What's up with PYM? Giant Man was at one point some Pym guy, right? And then I remember seeing the first issue of that arc where the Avengers are asked to rule the World, and in it, Ant-Man and Jack of Hearts have a dispute. I've got it here in front of me, so I'll just put it word for word. And for ya'll information, its the arc called World Trust by Geoff Johns, starting from Issue #57. I have it in a Wizard preview, Issue 130.
JoH: Why are you here? You're not even a reserve. [This is obviously before Ant-Man dies in Dissassembled...;_;]
A-M: I picked up the emergency signal [All the Avengers were called back to HQ] on one a'Pym's old helmets. Who are YOU to ask me, anyway, Jack of Hearts?
JoH: I've heard ENOUGH from Hank PYM-LIGHT.
A-M: What'd you call me, (profanity)?
Yeah so what's that all about? And THEN, on top of Giant Man and Ant-Man, in Avengers Dissassembled, while Iron Man is raving about how he should just kill the UN delegate from Latveria, Yellowjacket tries to stop him when Tony snaps "Get offa me, Pym!".
WHOA.
What the hell is PYM?!? WHO IS PYM? Why are THREE Avengers referred to as Pym?
And a quick question and a comment.
Is T'Challa the same guy as Black Panther? He was in the aforementioned UN scene, as well, trying to protect the innocent delegate from the drunk Tony. I thought it was him...delegate from Wakanda I'd assume. Though leaders of countries aren't usually delegates to the UN.
And in the beginning of the aforementioned [twice in one sitting. yikes.] World Trust arc, Wanda's powers are on the fritz. FRITZZZZZ. I hate when that happens. Well, so maybe Dissassembled and HoM were planned for a long time. Though I'm sure Wanda's fritzy powers were explained in the later issues of this arc.

hank pym has at different times been antman, giant man and yellowjacket... he seems to like variety...
there is only one hank pym...

yes, thats him... i dont know about his delegate/leader status though...
Ah, alright. Thanks.
So, wait, has anyone else took up those mantles? Of Ant-Man, at least? Because in that World Trust thing, Yellowjacket was shown flirting with Janet in the beginning and then the Jack of Hearts versus Ant Man was another scene. Janet and Yellowjacket were sucked into some vortex...
Originally posted by munkiesarusYes, the fellow you probably saw (who held the title most recently) was Scott Lang, aka Ant-Man II.

He died during Disassembled, but his daughter, Cassie, has more-or-less taken up the mantle of the "Ant-person" (she'll probably end up being called Ant-Girl) in Young Avengers.
I was wondering about something....not sure if this is the correct place to post but here goes.....What would happen if shadowcat got into a fight with somebody with similar powers?....would the be able to hit each an other?....cos they would be able to phase pout.......has this ever happened in the marvel universe?

There's a discussion about this over at the phasing thread, and yes it's happened once to my knowledge. http://www.killermovies.com/forums/f49/t348050.html
alright, in storms mini-series, she said she was able to use calauim arrows to disable opponents.
1) do calcium arrows really exist?
2) what do they do?
also in the same series, storm said she could use glassine fragments hanging within the clouds to focus light from the sun which would allow her to fling lasers from the skies.
^^would those be like flinging part of the sun at someone?
^^ would they have done any damage?
I have a few questions.
First: Today I just picked up New X-Men Volume 01. Now where exactly does this take off from.
Second: I was a little surprised to see Jean alive and still married (some what) to Scott, and actually sneaking a kiss with Wolverine only to have him reject her 😑 What did I miss in my comic absence when Wolverine rejects Jean??
Third : I also picked up the first 10th Anniversary edition of AoA. Now is this a totally different X-men Universe?? I don't remember Magneto ever coming to the good side (only in the few Onslaught comics I managed to scavange) and when did he and Rogue (I think it's her) get bejigidy?
Lastly : I haven't read Marvel comics in a while, and I recently started reading the Ultimate series, only because I can buy and read from #1 - 59. Now can any one reccomend an X-men Universe title that I can actually pick up on without being totally lost??
thanks to anyone that replys

Hello k_b. I believe I can help you a bit, for some of your questions.
1. I've got no clue. I believe it MIGHT be immediately after The Twelve storyline and The Search for Cyclops, because Scott mentions the Apocalypse + Him sharing a body. But I don't know for certain.
2. Well, New X-Men takes place before Astonishing X-Men, so naturally, Scott and Jean are still married. It's at the end of New X-Men that Emma and Scott officially get together. Well, about Logan rejecting Jean, if you read the page a gazillion or two times as I did as an inital reaction, I think Logan says something about how it won't work. How Jean and Scott are DESTINED to be together and all that good stuff. So, though he would love to pull an Ultimate-esque relationship, he doesn't because he knows its wrong.
3. I believe Age of Apocalypse is an alternate universe. It was all Xavier's son's fault or something when he goes back in time to kill Magneto, because he thinks that Erik is the thorn in Charles' side. But back in the past, Xavier and Lensherr were BFF, so Xavier pushes Erik aside and takes the attack for himself. Thus Magneto abandons his views and takes on the mantle of Xavier. And something happens and Apocalypse ends up ruling the world. But Bishop prevents that timeline from ever happening because he goes back and kills Xavier's son before he can kill, accidently, Xavier. Check out Uncanny X-Men.net, I'm sure they'll have a better explanation. And I think mine is a tad bit wrong.
4. Can't help you there. I believe al three major books are coming to an end with the House of M taking place. So in August or so, expect all new books, which THEN you can pick up on I believe. Sorry if that didn't help.
