....Why Don't you guys believe in a God, because there is no proof?... or because you cann't see it?...and as the question may be asked...If God does exist who created him and so fourth...and if not, as far as evolution goes what created the first celled and again so on and so fourth... its kinda pointless to have this disscussion when we have no proof about evolution and no proof of a God or a higher being...Altho i'm a chirstian and i believe in God and have faith he exists it still doesn't erase the question on who created him.....

Yea, that imbalance is mainly humans fault. There are way too many on the planet.Look Hermy, Cells dont have free will like humans do, because cells dont have minds, they do what they do because they are programmed to. Do you know what that means? A computer does what it does because it is PROGRAMMED to. THat's it, there's no keeping it in line. If something goes wrong, then so be it. Cells don't run perfectly all the time. That's how we have retardation. A gene somewhere went wrong, there's an extra chromosome, or a mutated one. Cells don't run perfectly. If this "higher being" existed, you'd think he'd have worked all of the kinks out by now.
Do you realize that you are not making any sense?
YES!
THE ORGANS DO WHAT THEY DO!I KNOW!
But why?! there a force telling them to move...
the genes and shit dod not just appear like 'poof!" in the air!!!
SOMEONE CAUSED THEM TO!!!!

I understand that some people may have a very strong faith in one or more gods but I don't. I've been Catholic for 16 of 18 years of my life and have only recently become an atheist (existentialist). I know that there are many endlessly complex questions regarding my life and this universe and how they came to be. To me the idea of god seems to be a cop out for when people start asking really big questions.
ie: 'How did I come to be? What made this universe? This reality?'
'God made you, me and this universe. Now get back to worshiping.'
I don't know everything about this universe and that doesn't really bother me, I'm happy to live this life with what it presents to me. Many people seem to have a big problem even considering that their life may be be purely coincidental and of no higher purpose. So they smack a big 'GOD' stamp over the question of their origin/purpose and consider the matter closed.
I think that if there is a God, it's not very much like the Christian view of God... He's supposed to love everybody, and be all powerful, but when tens of thousands of people are being killed in a war, where is he? The camerlengo in "Angels and Demons" explained that God saw humanity as his children... When somebody teaches their kid to ride a bike, they tell them what to do, but they don't hold them from falling over every step of the way. This way they can learn from their own mistakes. Personally though, I don't buy it. When a kid falls over on a bike, he/she might scrape their elbows and knees. But when all of humanity screws up, all of a sudden ten thousand people are dead. And what have we learned? Absolutely nothing. We continue to kill as we always have. Furthermore, there are things that are problems, but are not literal mistakes that can be learned from. If everybody on earth got cancer tomorrow, we wouldn't be able to learn from it. That would just suck big time.

I was talking to somebody (I think Aini) about this in a Marilyn Manson thread in the music forum... Somebody brought up how he's a Satanist, and somebody else pointed out that Satanism isn't really as bad as people think. Anyways, I was just thinking about the idea that we all worship the same god. (with the exception of atheists) Think about it--like Muslims for example, they pray to Allah, but Allah is really the same thing as the Christian God. Some religions have multiple gods, but it really amounts to the same thing as a single god. You could even go as far as to say that Satan and God are the same thing (once again, somebody else thought of this)... If God is "perfect" in every way, wouldn't he/she/it also have to encompass evil? Sounds weird, I know, but it's an interesting concept.
Satanism isn't really as bad as people think? You don't thk killing people and using them as sacrifices is bad? evil? doing mean and vicious things to people?
And allah, was not the people that flew the planes into the the twin towers worshiping allah? Didn't they say allay wanted them to do it? Thats not the Almighty God. God is love, not evil. 🙂
