no no God does not brain wash anyone. You will know people by their actions, to wether or not they server God or not. Allah and my God, is not the same at all.
Can u see wind? NO, but you can feel wind so, you know there is wind. Can u see God? No, but you can feel the presence of God. Just like you can feel wind.
Imagine this:
When you are at your lowest point in your life, you've just hit rock bottom, & you find yourself lonely, depressed no one to turn to....you call out to God (this is the same God, that you turn your back on day after day, the same God that you are not even sure exist) but now you need him, so you call out to him, And HE is there!! He picks you up & carrys you thru your darkest hours, you know he's there, you can feel him**** all the circumstances around you, tell you you shld be depressed, lonely, broken hearted...But the JOY of the Lord is your strength, when everything else around is still falling apart, God is there, helping you thru it all, you can feel his arms wrapped around you, HE is there!!!

Historically they are actually. The religions differ. You said it yourself: you will know people by their actions, also therefor in how they relate to their God. Allah just means Almighty, and in the Quran he's described as the God of Abraham, Noah and even of Jesus. So in essence we're talking about the same god. Now which books gives the best description of nature, his views on mankind and how He relates to us, that seems to be the issue. But science (as in the big and easy proof-question) cannot answer that one.
I'm sorry, but the "seed" metaphor makes no sense to me. I know plenty of people who haven't sowed any "seed" at all and have unbelievably crappy lives. You don't have any control over which parents you're born to. I look around myself all the time, I see religion, and I see suffering, and I ask myself, where is God? Not here. Life sucks, my friend.
Everyone sows a seed. It's in all the actions we do in our daily life. God is always there for us, no matter where we are. We have choices everyday, no you can't chose your parents, but you can chose your actions to every situation that comes your way, how you handle it. God is always there to help you thru those problems.
example:
you have a couple thats has a kid, everytime he wants something they give it to him, he steals something they go get him out of trouble, these parents love their son very much, but it seems the more they give him, the more he abuses the situation. He's constantly lying to them, he only calls them when he needs something, he's always asking for money, he rarely sees them....after a time the parents will get tired of this, and they shld, and they shld put their foot down!!
Thats how I thk God feels w/us at times, when everything is going good in our life, we never call on him, but as soon as something goes wrong, we are calling out to him.. we tell God, ok i'll go to church Sunday..that sunday never comes....But God finaly has to put his foot down w/us, we have to serve God thru the bad times, the good times, all the time!!!
To have a relationship w/someone, you have to keep in contact w/that person, right? same thing w/God, you have to talk to God, pray, read, develope a relationship w/him and when hard times come, you will still have the Joy of the LOrd in you, he will help you thru those times.
