It's not the fact that they tell me I'm going to hell that makes me upset, it's the fact that a complete stranger, who doen't know shit about me, is telling me to change the way I live so I can go to someplace I don't even believe in. All I have to say to those assholes who stop me on the sidewalk in Times Square is: "Who the F*CK are you to tell me how to live!? I live HOW I want, WHERE I want, WHEN I want, and there isn't SHIT you can do to change me. F*ck off. If God wants me to change, let that motherf*cker show his face to me right now and tell me one on one that I should change." Actually no, not even God himself would make me change now.
They stop you? And you listen to them? That's your fault! Keep on walking! What? Is that bad in NY that a religious person stops you from walking? Gosh! That's bad!

Ya know what, that makes me WANT to go to hell now. I'm going to be a straight up a$$hole to every militant religious douchewad that tries to convert me.
They can only convert you if you allowed them.

I mostly have this problem with Christians(whoa, go figure. they'venever forced their religion on anyone before right? Please, note the sarcasm). THEY DON'T KNOW WHEN TO STOP.I say
"No, I'm not changing"
them "But then You'll go to hell!"
Me "GOOD. Go away."
them "Please, just take.."
me "NO"and when that person finally gets the hint, ANOTHER Christian douche comes up to me. It's a never ending cycle.
You just said yourself. You have a problem with them. Well, I guess that makes you even with them. Since Christians can't tolerate others I guess you are on the same level.

No shit!!! Really!?!?? I didn't know that. Please, note sarcasm.
My point is that they won't stop trying.

Now you are just assuming shit, and that makes you look stupid. Don't assume ANYTHING.
I have a problem with MILITANT Christians who try to convert me at every turn. I have many Christian friends, and actually attend a Lutheran school. They're friends because they don't try converting me, and actually respect my views. I not only tolerate it, but welcome the debate possiblities. Actually, I WAS Christian. I stopped "following Jesus" in 7th grade.
No, we aren't on the same level. I don't go around to people who follow religions and try to get them to stop worshipping god. I mind my business, and all I ask is that the f*ckers on the street do the same.

I'm not assuming anything, I'm just reading a replying to what YOU are saying!

I'm glad that you have friends that are Christians. I'm also glad that your friends are not trying to convert you. As for you biography of stop being a Jesus follower.......all I can say is that I heard that one too many times. Oh you rebels! 😛

I knew you were gonna say that! (is predictable in these cases) Fine if you say you're not on the same level.....I'll believe you......I'm not judging you here. So you want to mind your own business and not let those F word people bother you? Just keep on walking! I'm sure you do the same when a saleperson on the street tries to sell you something you don't need.
I yell at the sales people too. I used to yell at telemarketers also, and then I got the idea to just start messing with them. They'll call and try to sell me something while eating dinner, and then I'd just start rambling about something else like I was already having a conversation with the guy. They usually get frustrated and hang up.
"Say what? So if they tell you that you're going to hell for doing sins you get upset? I still don't understand. Why would a person who doesn't believe in God would be upset because some dude tells him he is going to hell? As far I know Atheist don't believe in God or heaven or even hell! Why would an atheist be offended? Is just plain silly!"
No you totally misunderstood my post. I'm saying if at the end of time it all turns out to be true, they can rest easy right? Coz they are going to Heaven. Me going to Hell will be no one's fault but my own. It's a choice I make. Who said I was an athiest? I believe in a higher power or a God but I don't follow a religion. I don't pray. I do as I wish. It's the way I live.
"Whoah! they bring a message of peace to my door step and I'm gonna slam the door on them? Wow! that shows some real class. I had Jehova's witnesses come to my door step, and talk to me. I tell them I'm not interested and they go away. Much more simpler."
That's what I do. If I know what they're gonna say, save em the trouble and helps them get around quicker. I just say "Nah" and close the door. No slamming involved. That's bad. Wouldn't wanna damage my door frame.

those are hardly comparable. All of the people who believe in god surely don't have any compelling evidence of his existance. can you call them ignorant? no. because faith is above SOME things.
but about the lockness monster (or big foot or the chupa cabra, etc).....let's just say i'd happily take a dive in the lake 😉
I can and WILL be skeptical to that. i start with believing it is not there, until proven otherwise. not the other way around. but it is MY choice to not apply that to religious matters.
Of course it's your choice, but it doesn't make sense. If you don't belive that a legend is there because of a lack of proof, what would make you believe in God? There is the SAME lack of proof for his existence. People write books on Bigfoot and the Lochness Monster also. That doesn't make them real. People wrote a book on God. That, using the same logic, doesn't make him real.
I believe the Yahweh, the Jehovah, the El shaddai, to be the almighty, all-powerful, all-knowing, all-seeing being that created us. i also believe that, although Allah, Krishna and Zeus lived, they weren't God, but rather the fallen angels of Genesis. Most 'ancient gods' were said to have children with men, as did the fallen angels of Genesis, which resulted in the Nephilim, the Giants, the men like Hercules.
but anywho, the answer is the first sentence.
'If God did not exist, it would be necessary to invent Him.' -Voltaire
Some people see god as a tool of the governments and upper classes of societies throughout history. A way of controlling the lower class and keeping them in line by giving them hope that they would be rewarded for their suffering in an afterlife. Others see it as a crutch, or a way of giving meaning to what I believe is an existence with no 'greater' purpose. I think the idea of god is a crutch for some, a tool of society and an easy way to explain life on this planet. The problem is it stops people really questioning their existence.
Also, I don't mind talking to Christians or any religious types about things like this, but they usually end up trying to convert me. 😛
God definetly made us. I do believe in evolution to an extent, but scientist have not discovered where exactly that first little atom or whatever came from,, and I believe that God created it. Frankly I can't believe that alll the complexities of the human genetics and the life forms on Earth all just ...well... happened., just out of the blue. God just isn't some crutch or some trapt sett up by "the man" there is unremarkable proof of a devine power all over even highly respected scholars even scientist though through all there resarch and knowledge donnot doubt the existance of God. Some examples are Craig L. Bloomberg, ph.d,, Bruce Metzger, Ph.d, Edwin M Yamauchi...the list goes on , man.
