man interpreter the words the way he see it fit, there is no conclusion on how to interpreter the words.

If a religious person were to accept that there were more gods than his/hers they would in most cases be defying one of the pillars of their religion (eg~ 'no false idols'😉. However, their very religious persuasion is totally dependent on earthly things. Where they were born, who their parents were, how they were raised and whether they've been through hardships in their life. There is nothing in this world that even hints toward the existence of a god other than human curiosity. The bottom line is that people only consider the existence of a god because their predecessors suggested it or told them to. This makes god and religion an invention of man. You could say something like 'God was working through his followers' but that's bullshit if you also believe humans have free-will. Consider living life as it presents itself to you. Make your own way rather than following the flock. 😉

Fiery Eyes> We can measure the wind. We can hear the wind. And heavy winds sure do leave marks on the maps after they pass.
Even though you can’t SEE the atmosphere (because evolution gave us eyes that see through it), it can be measured in other ways.
I can neither see, hear, feel, taste or touch any divinity. If I am down and blue and call out, no divinity well answer, as none is there TO answer (But I’d like to know if one existed why he’d let me down so much anyways, and let people get killed by landmines).

So you say you feel arms around you when you’re alone and feeling depressed?

Historically they are actually. The religions differ. You said it yourself: you will know people by their actions, also therefor in how they relate to their God. Allah just means Almighty, and in the Quran he's described as the God of Abraham, Noah and even of Jesus. So in essence we're talking about the same god. Now which books gives the best description of nature, his views on mankind and how He relates to us, that seems to be the issue. But science (as in the big and easy proof-question) cannot answer that one.

God and Allah originally were not the same at the time before Muhammad...Muhammand consolidated over 300 different pagan dieties into one and named them Allah...and that itself was a shortened form of al-ilah-the chief among all gods...

in addition because he was fascinated with the jewish traditions and felt he was the new prophet he created a connection by claiming descendancy from Ishmael son of Abraham...therefore the God of Abraham is the same God for the muslims and that god's name is Allah

Everyone sows a seed. It's in all the actions we do in our daily life. God is always there for us, no matter where we are. We have choices everyday, no you can't chose your parents, but you can chose your actions to every situation that comes your way, how you handle it. God is always there to help you thru those problems.
example:
you have a couple thats has a kid, everytime he wants something they give it to him, he steals something they go get him out of trouble, these parents love their son very much, but it seems the more they give him, the more he abuses the situation. He's constantly lying to them, he only calls them when he needs something, he's always asking for money, he rarely sees them....after a time the parents will get tired of this, and they shld, and they shld put their foot down!!
Thats how I thk God feels w/us at times, when everything is going good in our life, we never call on him, but as soon as something goes wrong, we are calling out to him.. we tell God, ok i'll go to church Sunday..that sunday never comes....But God finaly has to put his foot down w/us, we have to serve God thru the bad times, the good times, all the time!!!
To have a relationship w/someone, you have to keep in contact w/that person, right? same thing w/God, you have to talk to God, pray, read, develope a relationship w/him and when hard times come, you will still have the Joy of the LOrd in you, he will help you thru those times.

Uh... hello? Which planet is it you live on again? That's not how it works in real life. Idiodic parents who turn their kids into spoiled little brats obviously "sowed seed".

I don't know why I have to repeat myself, but I know plenty of kids who have done virtually NOTHING wrong and yet have terrible lives at home.

I'll use an example. My best friend is a really nice kid. Very intelligent, cares about other people, etc etc. But his mother is a complete b!tch. She's an alchoholic, she laughs at him and insults him a lot, she tries to keep him from spending time with his dad... I could go on and on. His dad is a nice guy, and they got divorced when he was in third grade. He's still trying to get full custody of my friend, because he knows that it's not a great idea for him to be at his mom's house every other week. My friend has never stolen anything, he very seldom even gets angry at anybody. The one time he got in big trouble was when some moron was teasing him endlessly and he did something very unusual for him--he lost his temper and bodychecked the kid into a wall. Now, are you telling me that it's HIS fault that his mother is a b!tch and his parents hate each other? If God loved everybody and was all powerful, he wouldn't be putting people through this kind of shit every day.

You could use a more extreme example also. All the people in Iraq who have had their homes destroyed, their loved ones killed, etc, because of nothing under their control. So I ask again, where the hell is this God of yours?

Finti> 😆

I'm at A point in my life where I really don't know what God is or anything. I have the opinions of an Athiest but the background of a christian but a small fear of the unknown, and stuff after death. Its really confusing to think about it and stuff

Tpt> I'm the same way, almost exactly...

Wow....

You need to reread what I wrote hun 🙂 we have choices to how we react to all situations, we don't chose our situations. but will you serve God if it's bad? apparently you're saying not. i'm not sure

😉 we don't serve the same God, you can't have the same God, one being known as loving and in the other religion know him as evil (he tells them to do evil) and say it's the same God. Makes no sense whats so ever. 🙂

there is only 1 God, Finti is trying to say, that the God I serve is the same god that they call Allah, and it's not it's a false God they serve. My god is not evil!!

Alright, I reread your post. Thing is, people pray, and people "serve God", and it does NOTHING. Furthermore, if God really loves us all, why should he care whether or not we know he exists? And God is supposed to be perfect... Surely perfection doesn't have any place for arrogance and jealousy? As long as a person isn't sinning, shouldn't God love them just as much as people who do pray on a regular basis (whom he doesn't seem to help much either)? Or does he have a superiority complex now?

I used to be Christian, I prayed every single goddamn day... Nothing happened. I still had the same bullshit going on in my life, no matter how much I prayed. I guess I was supposed to feel like God was my friend, but frankly, I remember having a little imaginary elephant who would run around on the dashboard of my mom's car who I felt closer to than God. The elephant listened intently. I had no way of knowing whether or not God was.

Allah is not evil. I can't believe the sheer ignorance implied by that post. To assume that the God of another religion which you obviously know very little about is evil... that's just plain stupid. Islam, Judaism, and Christianity all teach the same basic principals--that violence is wrong and we should help our fellow man. The difference is that Islam is much older and therefore has some ideas that may seem archaic to say the least....

He's always there with me thru the good times and the bad times. Yes i can feel him, just like we feel the wind.
We all have choices in life, we all have situations, some we can help others we can't help, but it's how we react to those that counts. Will you still serve him thru the good and the bad? or do you just call out to him when you need ? when he can do something for you? Thats not a true worship to God.

You need to go read the other post before making a remark like that hun. the reason that was being said, was NOT making fun of someones religion, it had to do w/the twin towers and the peeps that did it said, Allah told them too, they did it in the name of their God. Finit is trying to say, thats the same God i serve, it's NOT my God is NOT evil. 🙂

No... those guys were either brainwashed or they had a screw loose. Mainstream Islam does NOT teach people to go kill thousands of people. You can't use the Taliban as an example, because very little they do is what Allah teaches.

And I did read the other posts, so you need to ask me if I had before you go making an assertion like that, hun.

The strange thing is, Christianity can, and was, used the same way Islam is now, The crusades were the largest example of that.

I'm sorry you feel that way about God. But think about Job in the bible and the things he went thru, Job hung in there not matter what, and looked what happened. He multiplyd everything of Jobs.
I'll tell you a story about myself, I served God as a Kid every time I prayed God always answered my prayers, No matter what it was I asked, He was so awesome and done so much for me, But....I turned my back on God and walked away from him.
I got my life back on track about 4 or so years ago, when i prayed do you thk god answered me right away? NO he didn't, why? Cuz of the way I took advantage of him before, I was NOT rooted and grounded in the Word of God, and I walked away from him. So, this time when i came back, I honestly believe God wanted to know: Are you going to serve me this time, and if you are how bad do you want to? To get to the place where I am now w/God was very hard....I struggled But I told God this time, I will NOT walk away from you, I will serve you no matter what. Yes, he does answer my prayers, he just doesn't give everything to me right away like he did when i was a kid, cuz i was selfish and took advantage of that. I've grown up and i've matured in God now. He will teach you, he will lead you, guide you, and fill you with things you lack. Trust in him and have faith in him, NO matter what. HE's there!!!

I've allways wanted to know this, because this is frankly a Major part of why I try to abandon Religion.
How do you know your right? What makes you feel that you are beliving in something that exists. Becuase if you look at history, Everyone has worshipped Gods, and Most if not all of them believed that they existed. And I wanna know Why? That tells you that What you believe in is correct?
