its not the religion i wanted to know about. I wanted to know God more. there's tons of religions out there, I'm not much into denominations, I keep my focus on God not man

if they had found anything resemblent of the arch the church would have used it for what it was worth justifying their believes as the true one.

I know that it was God, cuz he had a plan for me. No one dragged me there, i went cuz I wanted to.

And what was his plan for you?

Well...he's moving me and my husband into the ministry right now. My husband was prophesied over several months ago, by 2 diff people, we now see this coming to pass. At the time the prophecy was given we did not even see it at all. He was prophesied that God would use him more this year, than he ever has to reach the lost for God.

voted for i don't know, coz allthe option are partly truth.

meaning...? I don't understand.

meaning my husband has been preaching.

You say God pulled you into your church, I say you had an emptyness in your life that they filled, but it was You who made that decision

Indeed you did...

an emptyness cuz i didn't have god in my life. I started going when i was in the 1st & 2nd grade

the entire story is so bogus it is actually funny, just as an example. When the story was made the authors obviously didnt have any knowledge of spiecies that are limited to løibe in specific and remote areas of the world. Also the entire floodstory is found in other and older mythologies than that of the bible

there's a lot of room in the original text of the Bible to believe the historicity actually. The fact that many other cultures tell a similar story makes it in fact all the more believable that something like this happened. But the Biblical original text allows for a smaller size of the Flood. It talk about the "eretz" being flooded. That word can mean "earth" but also "the land" (just like in the modern day term "eretz Israel" = Land of Israel). It also speaks of the highest mountains being flooded, but the word for "mountain" is just as commonly used for "mound" (the word "har" as in (H)armageddon (the mound of Megiddo)).
So putting that in perspective we might be talking about the story of a local massive flood. And there is plenty of archaeological evidence to support that happening in the Mesopotamian plain. And you can say that that's interpretation but it's not. It's looking at what the text really says. And that's what it could say. What it comes down to it that it talks of a massive flood that killed off a lot of peoplethe flooding was being mentioned. As for the animals and stuff, we can't prove either way. but the fact that there are so many similar stories gives reason to belive that something like that happened. Or as a famous archaeologist told me "people don't invent things out of thin air, it's usually based on something."

And no, I don't think people found part of Noah's ark. There are finds of ships on mountains in Turkey, but there are quite a lot of them. And its'more about shapes, not so much actual boats. Maybe it's some kind of cultic reminder of the Noah story... who knows.

no one is arguing against that a flood might have happen locally in Mesopotamia, it is the story off all people wiped out except for one family, and of course the animals too.
The story in the bible would make all animals extinct due to the nature of animals, they would simply run out if food and die.
But a devastating flood sure, take a look at Bangladesh they have devastating floods all the time.

Even the animals if you think about just animals from the Land... Even though unlikely things are included in the story there's no basic problem with the story when reading it precisely. It's usually our children's bible view on these stories that distort our understanding of the history in the Bible.

well as I posted earlier on, a fairy tale

😂

I learned about GOD when I was young, seven I'd say.....not from my parents, but from an African family who had imigrated to Canada. 😱
I stress GOD, because the GOD of my "religion" is the Hebrew/Jewish/Catholic/Christian GOD, Yaweh, or Jehovah. I suppose it could also be represented of the Muslim GOD aswell.....

My "religion" states thus:
"(....)and above them there is He, whom the Hebrew name Jehovah-and He is Lord over all else, yet he wishes not for praise, but for harmony upon the Earth."

Hey Manokhau... You know of any good websites about your religion? Sounds like my kind of thing, I've never been able to imagine why God would want people to worship him more than anything else.

Funny thing-there are only fifty-two actual members of my religion worldwide. Most of them are in Africa, (the poverty ridden places).
The religion died back in the 20's.
I don't know of any websites. 😕
Too small a religion.

Whoa... That's weird... In a way though, maybe it's good, religions start to get scary when they have so many members...
