Look, FE, I don't understand how telling somebody who doesn't share your religions beliefs that their religion is wrong is going to change their mind. What is written in the Bible is not "the truth". Especially not to somebody who isn't Christian. ie, you can't prove the Bible by using passages from the Bible.

Wrong you did, say that, and above is your quote. when all i was doing was asking about his.

Where in that post did I say you were wrong? 😕

Nor Omega have I made fun of anyone either, looks like thats all you guys want to do, and I thk thats very rude. I've tried to answer (the best i can) and state my opinions just like everyone else w/o being rude.

Frankly you've made somewhat of a mockery (not only in this thread) of my beliefs and other people's...

figured you would have to make a remark like that, since you did say that, i've not made a mockery of nothing, you just seem to thk i shldn't ask questions but it's ok for YOU TO lol talk about being prejudice geezzz i've not been rude at all just asking just like you and everyone else is

No, you have. I don't appreciate you calling my religion idol worship, and then saying I was wrong about Buddhists not praying. It's one thing to be asking questions, it's another to tell somebody about their own religious beliefs when you obviously know very little about them yourself.

Genesis
9:20
And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard:
9:21
And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent.
9:22
And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.
9:23
And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness.
9:24
And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him.
9:25
And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.

Appearantly this means Canaan changed colour or something...?!?!?!

Ok i found it, 🙂 This is where God changed the laguages

Gen 10:32 These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood.
Gen 11:1 And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.
Gen 11:6 And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
Gen 11:7 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.

Gen 11:8 So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.
Gen 11:9 Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.

I asked if buddism was worshiping that statue, sorry if you took offense to that and some buddhist do pray. And it seems that me asking questions, when that question wasn't even to you, offended you. thats not fair of you. 🙂

**** THIS IS WHAT YOU SAID: understand how telling somebody who doesn't share your religions beliefs that their religion is wrong

i NEVER told anyone they were wrong, i asked questions.

Thats what the Word of God says, yes i believe what the Word says. 🙂

The word of god? More like the word of men. Blind faith in the bible is not a good thing nor a virtue. It make's no difference to me what you believe, that's your own business. But If you do decide to follow a Religion or even a philosophy, surely you should be able to rationalize it to others without resorting to blind faith? You say you joined the catholic church when you were young? Has your mentality changed at all from when you were that age? It must have. As you grow your mind is growing with you and changing, usually for the better. It just seems to me like you're limiting your potential for understanding or at least trying to understand life by building walls of blind faith to block out what is essentially reality. I mean, the story of Noah and the ark? Even today, such a task for one family would be impossible. I'm not saying drop or change your religion, again, that's your own choice. But at least consider a more realistic approach to the bible and your religion.

You're taking that statement out of context. You have to read the whole sentance for it to make sense:

"I don't understand how telling somebody who doesn't share your religious beliefs that their religion is wrong is going to change their mind."

Maybe I should rephrase. Telling somebody their views on Satan don't coincide with what you believe about Satan won't change their mind.

isnt that was this is about to state your opinions and to ask where that get that info?? it seems ok if you do it, but when i do, i'm putting someone down

It didn't sound like you were just stating an opinion though... Go back and read your post, it really did sound like you were telling him his views on Satan weren't true.

i'm not catholic, you must have me confused w/someone else hun

sorry if you took it that way, i've never heard anyone say that before and (and i said that) and i was asking where he got that info, which he's never responed.

Oh well, Christian then, my mistake. I thought you'd said earlier that you were a born again Catholic, must've been Christian. I do know the difference I just sometimes confuse the names, but don't disregard my previous statement because of that.

for one thing, i dont follow a religion. I follow Jesus Christ, I do attend a certain church, but I do not thk just cuz i attend that church that we are the only ones going to Heaven, There are tons of people that attend many diff religions that will make heaven.
I've listened to many responses in here just cuz i don't agree w/them you say i'm closed minded but YET, have you thought about if I was right??? LOL no you have nor has anyone else, so you could actually ask that question to everyone, there are a some that are opened to anything in here. 🙂

😂 poor souls ... they don't even know what "life" is... no2

I used to be devoutly religious... I never felt like I was "living life" any more than I am now.

Now that is sad, I just can't imagine that. I'm sorry to here that

Well... I'm nothing more than living proof that what one person finds comfort in doesn't work for everybody else.
