well, according to the bible you do have to forgive others, and i wasn't saying that applied to your situation cuz i have no idea. the bible is a guidline to how to live your life, if you're not doing it correctly then it doesn't work effectivly. If you do develope a relationship w/God, he will talk to you & you talk to him thats what prayer is, talking w/God. It can't be a relationship when a person does is pray when something goes bad in their life, they have to do that everyday and have that relationship. If a person NEVER spoke to their spouce except when something bad was going on their lives, they wouldn't have a very good relationship, same w/God.
What don't you understand about 5 years of faith? you think those 4 years were just peachy? **** no, school was hell for me, and I let that slide, church and sunday school every week, prayer whether times were good or bad. 5 years and I never got any type of an answer.
Prayer is NOT a conversation with god, prayer is you talking, hoping that some all-powerful being hears you. NEVER has god once talked to me with a voice, or something that is undeniable proof.
The Bible is none of my concern, and I could care less if it says to forgive. In today's age, the Bible is a poor example of a guideline to live life.
You didn't answer my questions, mainly, is this asking too much of an ALL POWERFUL being? To hold a face to face conversation?
yeah apparently it is too much to ask for. No where in the bible does it even say that will ever happen. He will answer you, in different ways too, it may not be the way you are wanting or the answer you are wanting. I've asked God tons of questions, not ever telling anyone else, there's times he answers me in my heart, sunday school, preaching, or a friend that just says it out of no where. he does hear and listens.
I wsn't implying that you didn't have faith back then, was jsut saying there's a numerous reason to why things happen or don't happen. But i do know it takes 2 in a relationship, and it takes both parties doing what they are suppose to do. and NO i'm not saying you wasn't i have no idea of the circumstances or anything. I just know that he's real to me and he answers me, teaches me, draws me to him.

His will was to let 6 members of my family contract fatal illnesses? Oh yea, what a great god. Boy, do I wanna worship him now. Wow. What I find ****ed up is that my grandmother is the last one of us who still has strong faith, and she's dying the fastest.
No, Arach. You haven't answered my question.
Have you come to the full knowledge of God's will when you and your family were once "faithful" to Him?🙂

that's a trick question and you know it. no, noone knows his "will". but my question is, that since he is apparently letting them die slowly of disease, it must be his will right? If it wasn't his will, he'd change something, anything.

4 years wasn't picking and choosing. Why don't you just sit back and watch 6 of your closest family members fade away into disease, and then get back to me.wtf is unforgivness? Not forgiving someone? That's between them and whatever diety they believe in. There are only about 3 people on this planet that I would forgive for doing something harmful to me.
Really, is asking for a straight answer too much for an omnipotent being? All I want is evidence. I want to see him face to face and talk. Is that too much to ask of an ALL-POWERFUL being? Really, is it?
He doesn't have to heal my family, death is a part of life, and though I wish I wouldn't lose the majority of my family so soon, they had to go sometime.

But since, you haven't come to the full knowledge of God... And tried to ask Him why it happened to you... you should have asked yourself first, why it happened to you. 🙂

No, Arach.... God has revealed the mystery of His will to the people... so that no one can have excuse. 🙂But since, you haven't come to the full knowledge of God... And tried to ask Him why it happened to you... you should have asked yourself first, why it happened to you. 🙂
Are you implying that the faithful have been shown the will of god? Or that they are as lost concerning the idea as anyone who tries to understand the motivations of an omnipotent being?
I'll tell you exactly what happened to you, Arach...
Prov 1:24-30, (NKJV)
24 Because I have called and you refused, I have stretched out my hand and no one regarded,
25 because you disdained all my counsel, and would have none of my reproof,
26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your terror comes,
27 when your terror comes like a storm, and your destruction comes like a whirlwind, when distress and anguish come upon you.
28 "Then they will call on me, but I will not answer; they will seek me diligently, but they will not find me.
29 Because they hated knowledge and did not choose the fear of the LORD,
30 they would have none of my counsel and despised all my reproof,
Apparently you don't read well. I believed FIRST, and then my family got ill, and when I reached out for an answer, got nothing, and THEN I didn't belive anymore. Either that, or his answer was to make them even more ill, in which case, I wouldn't want to worship a god like that anyway.
What you are saying is that I didn't believe, and THEN reached out, which I've said many times, is not what happened.
See? Believing is NOT enough... that's why I asked you if you have come to the full knowledge of God's will... and it seemed that you didn't... That's the answer why it happened to you.
That's why God said:
Prov 1:24-30, (NKJV)
24 Because I have called and you refused, I have stretched out my hand and no one regarded,
25 because you disdained all my counsel, and would have none of my reproof,
