Rade, you roll +5 on your attack on the door. Doors don't defend, of course, but you still need a good hit to knock it down in one- and that will do! You smash the door open. You then swtich to your gun as requested.
Burn another slash coming your way, another dodge... Fire rolls +4. That hits Burn by two, for six damage. Oh dear Burn! This is becoming a bit much for you now!
Third time unlucky. -4 on your death check, and your final declared action is never to be. Sorry about the mix-up! Burn sinks down, finally abused by one too many people!
But just to bring the WHOLE rigamarole full circle- I had forgotten to add the damage Fire took from Ares to his score.
Which means, Fire, that at the very end of the action- when Cloud hit you with his Lightning Fist- you did fail that Death Check after all. You fall soon after making that final hit.
STATE OF PLAY AT START OF: Sixth round, third action
Room 2
West Side Lower:
Virus 10/21/3
South Side Lower:
Ares 6/24/-1
Hephaestus 16/7/-1
Cloud 5/26/1
Rade 7/26/0
Room 3
Castor 15/38/0 WITH FLAG
CURRENTLY OWED ACTIONS: Virus (2)
CURRENTLY INVOLVED IN FIGHTS (and hence unable to take non-combat actions until they win or Flee): All except Virus and Castor
-----
Ok, not many people left now! At the end of this action, Castor will be halfway across Room 3.
The door is gone. Anyone who wants to shoot though it can, if it blocked by a person you need Eagle Eye to do so. However, this will invite an attack from someone else in the combat as it counts as fleeing in order to do it.
Ok, Ares has orders to fire still banked! He asked for one burst at Heph, one at Virus, and two on Fire.
That will need altering for two reasons- first of all, Fire is gone. Doh!
Secondly, Virus is not in the brawl, so you cannot make a Close Combat Guns attack on her. You would have to Flee to shoot at her, inviting a free attack.
Coeus, Fire and Mors- may be good timing that you are all out, because you are needed- here:

Ok, and the Storm-turtleless Castor has no options other than to dodge!
First of all, though, Rade takes a free hit from... I say Cloud. Cloud rolls +2- just a glancing blow on Rade for three damage.
Rade rolls +4. Uh-oh... even with Rade's wound, that makes 19. Castor's dodge is 16- a definite hit, for nine damage.
Unlucky- close but no cigar, Castor! You roll -4 on your death checkj, and as you flee, Rade blasts you down from behind.
Which means the Flag is now fallen about 1/4 of the way into Room 3...
