USH'S MATRIX GAME- TRAINING MISSION- Capture the Flag

Started by Ushgarak36 pages

So noted, Cloud. However, that still leaves you four other attacks coming at you! I need a seperate defence for each one. A better choice for massed gunfire is Willow Step, that Burn is suing, which is less powerful but helps avoid EVERYTHING, not just one attack.

Sounds good, Castor, but I really need to know what option you plan to take against each attack.

I shall repeat, for reference, what I said earlier...

"Each of those six now need to take FIVE defensive actions as each is being shot at five times. For those of you who have not done this before, you basically have two options- Avoid, which is generally keep a low profile and keep on the move (which means the attack is resolved as normal, and the difficulty for them, to hit you depends on your skill), or Dodge, which means you actively throw yourself clear of the attack, making it harder for you to be hit, BUT this will slow you down."

Ok, the cops fire!

Burn- all miss.
Cloud- all miss. In deference to your learning curve, one of them WOULD have hit but I decided to make that the one you used Shell of the Turtle on!In which case, you may wish to describe some form of sideways carthweel or whatever that got you out the way...
Castor- all miss. In which case you can be all ready to fire back!

Heph- all miss
Mors- all miss
Virus- all miss!

Wowsa! Blank for the cops! Bullets are going EVERYWHERE! But not into soft flesh!

CURRENTLY OWED ACTIONS: Castor (2), Virus (2), Mors, Hephaestus

Those currently owed actions can act more than once but I won't 'bank' actions for that long...

-----

Due to the mix-up of Ares' position I have not bothered to makr the cost for Rade's dodge.

Burn is doing rather well in paying for his Willow Step dodges with his Fast attacks from Coppertop Killer...

Ok, Castor, you can use one of your banked actions to fire like you described, using both guns.

You didn't specify how much you wanted to fire, so I am assuming, as you are using Berettas, that you will fire a single shot from each. As you didn't give a specific target, it will be a cop from the first barricade.

You roll evens. Sorry, buddy, but with the penalty for Both Guns Blazing and the fact that the cop is in cover (and you don't have Eagle Eye), that is a miss. Bullets spray off the barricade but don;t quite reach your target... good news is, though, that was a fast attack, as you have Coppertop Killer. You lose an exertion. Furthermore, you still have one banked action, and ANOTHER action for this turn so you can do plenty more!

Ok, Burn, you run and leap the barricade (making you more vulnerable to gunfire this turn, remember) and attack a cop.

Wow, you really are on form, Burn! You roll +5! Gives you a total of 16 to the Cop's 11 after dodging. That gives you +5, which becomes +4 due to his armour (darn it, you cannot Eagle Eye your hands...).

A solid blow, the cop reels back, but he's not out...

Cloud, you have a hurt Cop just by you as well, remember.

On the outside, Ares and Coeus are now three/eights down. Still no-one coming at you. Rade and Fire are in cover at the South Side.

Guys I would like to see you eventualy DO SOMETHING

(Sorry bout that Fire, been busy...)

Mors drops low to the ground and rolls to avoid the bullets, and rises once closer to the nearest cop. He performs a diagonal strike at the cop's chest.

((so so so so so SO sorry!! school is evil - it uses up my time with smelly essays and coursework!))

BTW ush, I dont have guns blazing, but you could add it in if you wanted.
how many turns is that ush?, how long till new round?

Well, so far, you have taken three actions, but a lot of other people have only taken two, one or even none!

Phoe- need any help?

I assume you mean to cross the barricade then, Mors! That makes you more vulnerable to shots this action as you vault over.

Diagonal strike... do I assume that is a sword slash? I really do need people to specify what attack they are using lest I get it wrong. I will take that as a (weapon) attack. A basic strike seems a bit of a waste as well, seeing as you are a Jade Emperor Master. Coeus or Fire may have some tips for you there!

But hush my mouth! You just rolled +9, Mors, Even as the guard dodges to get a defence of 11, that gives you a final attack value of 23. Oh BOY! You just cut that guard open, Mors. Good cut. Blood everywhere.

You are owed an action, Mors, so you may act again!

The guards are about to fire again. This will be a roughly even distribution of shots to everyone in the rooms. The maximum amount of shots anyone will face is five. Therefore, I need everyone in the rooms-

Burn, Cloud, Castor, Heph, Virus and Mors

- need to take up to FIVE defensive actions, and I will use as many as required when the shots actually come, soon.

For those of you who have not done this before, you basically have two options- Avoid, which is generally keep a low profile and keep on the move (which means the attack is resolved as normal, and the difficulty for them, to hit you depends on your skill), or Dodge, which means you actively throw yourself clear of the attack, making it harder for you to be hit, BUT this will slow you down. You may also use Path powers to aid you- recommended ones are Willow Step and Vertical Dodge, which will help you dodge ALL of the attacks.

And sorry, Burn, named the wrong power. Corrected myself.

ok,
willow step again,
im guessin that the guard that got punched is shooting at me not punching am i right?

No, he's shooting- he gets a chance as you vaulted the barrier.

However, the one that Cloud kicked last turn is indeed treying to hit Cloud with the butt of his gun rather than shoot him.

to all of my team, if I remember correctly you are ALL trained in storm turtle, this allows you to make 1 dodge against all attacks

(WILLOW STEP: You may spend a focus point to make a dodge that is only worth one point rather than two, but applies to EVERYONE trying to hit you in a round. This is your reaction to everyone that round, and only costs one exertion.)

also BB Use Gift of the emperor, it takes some focus but it has a way bigger chance of dropping Mundanes

(rade I suggest we both start moving towards the door)

No need to use Gift of the Emperor umless you just hit a mundane but didn't kill him- it makes you kill him instead (but have to spend an action retrieving your weapon, as you just stuck it through the poor guy...)

for my third action I fall back inside the building

So noted! Leaving Rade out there alone unless he heads in as well.

Ares> we follow them inside. if they get inside, im gonna need you to shoot as i close the distance. ok?

Methinks you mean Ares again, Coeus? It's all those guns they carry, makes it hard to distinguish them...

i changed it, and yes, i keep getting confused, cause originally they BOTH woulda been inside, rather than the three i have in now...

Noted!

Virus uses Both Guns Blazing

okie phoe to put it a lil better it'll look something like that
I pic the first cop I can find standing behind the first barricade and shoot 3 bursts at him with my first gun
then I take the second cop I can find standing behind the first barricade and shoot 3 bursts at hiim with my second gun

(both guns blazing, weapon)

^phoe this is what you can put in your post
Phoe just so you know you spend 9 bullets out of each gun, they carry 35 bullets in the mag so that leaves 24 left in each, KEEP TRACK OF THIS

Ush since Phoe didn't specializeher guns, I advised her to take the Glock18's since those are IMO the best autohand gun there is in the list

((d'ya want me to edit my post, or shall I just re-post?))
