*cough* *cough* excuse me
Have you noticed that whenever someone dies, they get more respect. But thats not why I love Tupac so much, his lyrics are just real good, I'm sorry but it has to be said.
God, help KMC, if a person from a metal group died.
The music forums would be packed with shrines and ppl payin their 'love' fwd.
So dnt say 'get ova it' or nething like that, coz if any of youse lot were in our shoes . U'd go at it a million times worse.
Accept the fact that artist who are loved and respected so much, might just mean they were good. 😛
people have died in metal scene recently
layne stayly from alice n chians
dave willaims drowning pool
the guitarist form deth
you know whats funny is when those people died they really barly got a mention on the mtv news bu when soembody from the pop scene dies the devote like a whole days of videos for them
mah before you go any further, let me point one important factor....tupac was never accepted into pop until his death. the impact he had on people was tremendous. he wrote not only about being a thug, jewels and g-banging, but he wrote about his tough upbringing, a broken home and such.
he popularity rose considerably due to the fact that his death and the hype behind it. he never worte that much about being wealthy b'cause he didnt have sh-- all at the time.
if you took time to listen to music and have n open mind they maybe you can appreciate other music not just what you like.
i think ur really jus pissed at his fans for having such dedication to someone who is deceased but still popular as ever.
50 cent...WHAT - A - JOKE!!!
dave williams's death had an immense effect on the music scene in Massachusetts. Drowning Pool had a large fan base here. Mtv didn't shatter to pieces mind you, but his death was widely covered on alt rock radio. So although his death wasn't picked up by the Mtv radar, it did not go unnoticed or forgotten.
#1. I can respect people's opinion............respect mine. I don't think he was all that. I think that alot of people got caught up into they hype when he signed to Death Row. I know he had fans before he became famous when he signed to Death Row, but there weren't many.....which is why his albums weren't going platnum. He didn't have enough fans untill the Death Row hype shortly before he died.
#2. loserib........you remember Tupac in Digital Underground? Great......then you remember he was primarily a back up dancer and not part of the actual rap group. Thanks for your input.
#3. hock3yhorror............Ice Cube has always been great....he is the one who brought N.W.A. to the top of the rap world. He has been in Westside Connection since '95 (when he formed the group with WC and Mack 10)........their first album Bow Down came out back in '96. Supposed to have a new one soon......can't wait for it.
#4. inflames.........don't patronize me. Do you honestly think I would comment on Tupac's music if I havn't listened to it? I've been around a while......I've listened to most of the music out there (with exception to the new pop/rock music).........Tupac has some great songs, no doubt. Is he the Elvis Presley of rap? No.
#5. I couldn't care less about a freestyle rap. I care about the music on the album that I just paid for. Okay......a guy can freestyle on TRL or just hanging with his friends really good........what good does that do me on this new studio LP I just bought?
