What the hell was that film all about. I payed 7 pounds, 10 dollars to see
it. When I saw the first Matrix, I told myself "great, a new breed of action movie, something different" but the third one contradicted that thought.
Revolutions was so predictable (I'm not talking about the storyline because that sure wasnt) and resembled all the american action movies
that we are used to with all the hero and patriotic crap. No offense meant.
For instance, I predicted that the sixteen year old kid that volunteered
would make an a superb important heroric exploit in the film. "please let me fight, I wont let you down, I want to fight for my city's survival, bla, bla"
I knew that the captain would be the last one to fight in those giant two legged machines and would eventualy die. Plus his speech, ressembled
very much a war film or independence day. "If this is the end and we are
meant to die, lets give them hell before we do, YEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAH!!!"
I also knew the women launching rockets would miss her shot against that drill after having already destroyed one. "Pull my belt, just give me one shot"...."Oh shit, I missed!" Then when they tried escaping the eye-ball machines with tenticules hanging out of their arses, I knew the launcher would die leaving the other woman alive.
Now moving on to the scenes. The Xion battle was bull. For half an hour
the giant two legged machines fired into the wall breach and I was wondering if they were hitting anything. It was the whole time the same
thing, tenticled balls entering the breach and all flying in the
same direction like flies and being shot at with machine gun fire.
TRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
The scene where the japanese guy hides with the indian girl into that room in the building where the oracle lives sucked. When the Smith agents get to them, the girl tells the real Smith that he's a bad man and the scene then changes to the oracle's appartment. You dont know what the hell happened to the japanese guy or the indian girl throughout the whole film, until the end the very end.
The final battle sucks, Smith and Neo bump at full speed into each other
in mid air and then project towards the opposite direction until they land
into a wall or window.
Finally the ending, the machines who have destroyed nearly all humanity leaving them with virtual lives and have no feelings or sentiment whatsoever decide to make peace with the humans.
