I highly doubt Cube wrote for Dre on The Chronic, I might be wrong but I think it came out during the Death Certificate era, which means Dre was taking it with No Vaseline and stuff. It was probably Snoop or someone on The Chronic, but it doesn't matter. What matters is, Dre is a punk, I've always said it. Anyone who gets their shit written for them is worthless.
And he's a massively overrated porducer. I find his stuff corny, repetetive and simplistic. There were a couple of good beats on 2001, but that's it. Strange how one of the most important figures in hip-hop history is also one of it's biggest frauds.

Yeah but you clearly mentioned The Chronic in your post, and I was talking about that.
Because they are typical gangsta rap, big bassy and brash. I know he pretty much invented that style, but that doesn't stop it from sounding corny. And I don't mean to sound rude, but duh. I know beats are looped over and over, that's not what I meant. I meant repetetive as in every song sounds the same. There's no variation.
Why have Dre's bloated basslines and whiney keyboard tunes when you can have Stoupe's outrageous full string samples and latin guitar melodies? I don't get some people..(not you AC, just a general musing).
Well hockey said he didn't know who ghostwrote for him on The Chronic and I said I dunno who did it for The Chronic but I heard Cube did it for his NWA stuff. I dunno.. no biggie.
Matter of opinion I guess.. yeah his beats are simple but they sound good most of the time.. well his older stuff anyway, I'm not a big fan of the beats he feeds G-Unit and Eminem. He's not amazing or anything but I find he can make some lame lyricists sound alot better.. and there's gotta be some gift to that, anyway.
I'm a little overtired so sorry if I ramble a bit.

😆 hysterical 😆
As long as you're going to go around making ridiculous claims that a particular genre of music requires no talent, at least name a decent rock band to back the claim up. Christ.
Making shit hip hop requires no talent. Making shit rock requires no talent. Making either sound good does.
