Kosta, it didn't make any difference, you not being here. You missed that action due to exertion and got shot again. It's just the way it went I am afraid- bad luck, but plenty of opportunities in future.
These vehicles are open topped and those bullets would easily go through them anyway, they are high calibre assault rifle shots.
And guys? I think Burn was very wise in deciding not to try and run down the Agent... that could have gone spectacularly badly...
On the other hand, Kosta, you made an essential difference in clearing out the last guys in that jeep. EVERY action was important there. Even just by being there as a target you have stopped Coeus and Heph from dying.
All in all it has been a good team effort and it looks like you guys have gotten away with it.
OOOOOOOOOOHHHH....
Good luck...
Ok, first of all, his kick. Kind of a gamble from me, not wanting to kill people first time out- Kicks are more likely to miss. Of course, if it hits, that's no bloody good.
Agent rolls +1. Which goes to +0 as it is a Kick. (checks BBs skill)
Damn! He's hit. Well, I miscalculated, what can I say? Oh, those of you following the numbers- that he just hit might interest you.
That's 9 damage to you, Mors. From a simple damn kick that only hit dead on. OW! It cracks into your back and nearly wounds you. Then you start to run... and he gets a free blow...
(Note to people... may I interest you in Master level Venerable Grasshopper? And the power 'Flip of the Grasshopper'? This power allows you to make an attack that, if it hits, allows you to MOVE- as in out of the combat if you wish, with no penalty! Mors would kill for that. The Path of the Lone Bamboo has a similar power, that hits and then disengages. VERY useful Agent fighting stuff!)
The Agent laughs as you flee, and Punches.
Agent rolls +1- a hit, again... errr... ow.
As your defence is reduced to 13, that is a hit by four points for the Agent.
Which means he just did 11 damage. His parting uppercut nearly breaks your spine, Mors. That takes you to 35 damage and a death check. You roll evens- still standing! Just. You stagger away, desperately, double wounded...
San, you roll evens... hmm... four bursts makes that a 17.
Well, all things considered, I shall rule that the Agent burs two exertion dodging, causing him to miss an action (as I had set him up to do so by Posing), and that gives Mors enough time to stagget into the car and for you all to drive away.
Virus, San, Mors and Burn have all reached safety.
The Agent, instead of chasing, watches you go.
"I can wait..." he says. And then, holding his hand up to his earpiece... he turns to chase after the Blonde girl.
Mors watches the Agent start running after the girl. "I can too...I can too..."
Mors turns to San. "I'll be okay..." He cringes. "Thanks for the cover fire, he would have killed me back there. But now I think I'll take my sword into the Matrix with me every time."
Mors takes out his cell phone and contacts Ariadne. "Ariadne, pump as much morphine into me as you can without killing me. He broke my spine..." He cringes again as he tries to get comfortable in the back seat. "And then I'd like you to tell me what the f***ing hell just happened back there! Why did the Agents pop up if we didn't do anything violent yet!"
