Well, this is just being defeated right, then couldnt gandalf just kill off ALL the death eaters and all of voldy's servants, then fight voldy until he is a shadow or the parasite that he was when little baby harry defeated him, then no peter petigrew to come and give him a body, he has no way of getting back to normal, he is defeated, but not dead, harry can do that.
Because he was Gandalf the Grey and there was Saruman the White. ((All wizards have a colour, it shows how powerful they are. eg White = most powerful, Brown = least powerful))
When Saruman became corrupted, he became Saruman of the Many Colours, and Gandalf became Gandalf the White, greatest of all wizards.
gandalf the grey...gandalf meaning wander elf...was the second highest wizard
saruman the white was top although elrond and galadriel wanted gandalf to be white...when saruman made a ring of his own and became industrial and corrupted he became saruman of many colours (if yoiu split white let it makes many colours)
so gandalf was 'promoted' so to speak

Terminator 3 - Self preservation. The machines weren't evil as such. They just ddid what they needed to survive.
1984 - I thought it was quite an efficent system. the whole point of that book is that good and evil merge anyway. There IS NO LINE!!!!! not everything was black and white.
Gandalf would win. By your rules, if |Voldy has a wand, gandalf has his ring. SO kicks his ass. Plus, Voldy couldn't just use his power indefinately. He would get tired. If they had no items at all, then Voldy would not be too good. None of the HP characters do anything to harm anyone else, so Gandalf could just wait til Voldy was asleep. Unlike the film, Gandalf doesnt sleep! And then strangle him.

Apparently, after becoming Gandalf the white, he was stronger than Saruman, which isn't hard considering how Saruman died in the books. But I'd rather see Voldemort VS Sauron. or Gandalf the Grey VS Dumbledore.

Well, Gandalf, Saruman, Morgoth and Sauron were all Maiar, and they were SUPPOSED to be created equal. But I guess Sauron gets extra points for being the apprentice of The Smith, who was a Valar.
