The overall most powerfull character ever

in a way, bishop could be just as powerful as any of these guys. if, let's say silver surfer attacked bishop with the greatest of his cosmic power, bishop would absorb it, and could fire it back at him. i actually was thinking of writing a comic book where there's a big line of cops with energy guns and they all shoot bishop at the same time. then, bishop literally flies up from the ground with energy flowing from his hands and eyes and shoots it all back. it takes out half the city and kills innocent people. then, bishop is kicked off the x-men and takes up villainy.

That my friend is ridiculous.

Bishop's energy absorbing abilities would not be able to handle the power cosmic. He would try to absorb it and ultimate get fryed. He'd be just like Neo in Matrix Revolutions...basically a big circuit breaker....that would get broken.

and what if Silver Surfer were to just use is vastly greater physical strength to just pummel Bishop into the ground. Surfer travels at the speed of light when he's on that board...he'd just wiz by Bishop and deck him once.

That much force would kill an earthly super hero.

After reading so many posts on who's stronger, who's a better fighter, etc...is it safe to say Marvel acknowledges that the Beyonder was the most powerful Marvel being to exist? He was pretty much...God...except for a character name, right?

If he's gone now, who's ranked up there to replace his status?

Well Thanos with the heart of the universe, the one above all. Beyonders powers are no where near that kind of power. 😄

look it´s not thanos with the heart of the universe, anyone with the heart of the universe is the most powerful, including thanos of course.

not Beyonder, Living Tribunal. he/she/it basically keeps watch over the entire multiverse and takes his orders from The One Above(God)

Spy, lots question TOHOTMU's accuracy...and it has been shown that it is indeed inconsistent on many counts. I guess it is acceptable considering characters as a whole have undergone HUGE transformations since it was written (not sure when the last one was written; I purchased mine in what, the mid 80's when the covers actually connected to create one huge poster).

I think most follow what is CONSISTENTLY written in comics as opposed to the exceptions - for example, Wolverine being as quick as Spiderman. Because that was written in ONE comic book by ONE writer in no way means that it is CANNON. Same with Venom being able to fight Juggernaut toe-to-toe. Ludicrous.

That being said, the general consensus that I have seen is that anyone with THOTU (Heart) is the most powerful. The Beyonder is not generally recognized as being the most powerful in the MU.

the Multiverse is many many universes combined. Living Tribunal looks over them all, and although he doesnt interfere too often, he can erase, alter, and add entire universes as The One Above sees fit. last time i checked, Universes were made up of hundreds of galaxies.

Marvel Directory needs an update.

I like Thanos yeah. I've seen Thanos do some pretty amazing things. You can't kill the guy, actually you can kill the guy, but he comes back, so he's immortal. I like this pick of Thanos stopping Thor's hammer right in it's tracks..

Unfourtunatley an update would take vast resources and effort to be done accurately.

I mean every character on that site has a LOT of history put in it

The Marvel forces tried to attack their villains.

Its ruhmored that whatever Kills Galactus will signify the begining of the end of the marvel universe. Right now in Thanos his first herald has been set loose, The fallen one. He is going after a weakend Galactus to kill him. My guess is someone with the power to destroy events is probely the most powerfull character.

thanos is strong but according to the Marvel Encylopedia (which im reading right now) Galactus has the highest stats of any character in the whole book...they are all perfect

Thanos is only second to galactus

and IF The Beyonder is the strongest, answer me this...WHY THE HELL DOES THE BEYONDER LOOK LIKE DONNY OSMOND!

then they left out Living Tribunal. i think having the power to alter time/space/reality is higher up than consuming planets.

this is the heirarchy of the multiverse, the most powerful characters in the universe, first are the abstracts- Death, Eternity, Lord Chaos, Master Order, the In-Betweener, and Abbraxas. Above them is the Living Tribunal. the only being more powerful than the tribunal is the brother who is the marvel multiverse, he doesn't count however since the question was the most powerful "in" marvel. so the living tribunal would be the answer.

come on, we are sick of answering this question, the most powerful is the one who possesses the heart of the universe. without the heart of the universe the most powerful is probably living tribunal.
