The overall most powerfull character ever

Started by Linkalicious18 pages

I have the new Thanos comics and I can say this much from reading them.

Thanos blasts Galacticus with pretty much his best shot. It knocks off Galacticus's gay helmet and armor, but Thanos is no match for Galacticus.

I saw Beyonder take a mortal form. One of a female no less, and she is significantly weaker than Thanos. She blasted Thanos with her best shot, decimating everything in the area, and Thanos was fine.

from this i can say.

Galacticus is stronger than Thanos, and that Thanos is stronger than the Beyonder. Though the older more traditional Beyonder, that didn't assume a mortal form, could probably beat Thanos also.

Lord Chaos, Master Order, Death, and Eternity are all beings that exsist to create balance in the Marvel Universe. Chaos cannot exsist without order, death is inevitable, and Eternity is more a concept than a character. None of these types of cosmic beings should be considered in this argument because they are the embodyment of a concept....not an actual character.

(hard to make my point while typing it out)

the beyonder took the form of captian america but with black hair which is an improvement upon blonds. He was not more powerfull than himself, that is his limit. I think the original beyonder is more powerfull than all the concepts combined and that would include all the characters of marvel. In marvel universe, with the beyonder seperate, molecule man is probabley the most powerfull. Owen Reece.

that guy got worked by Wolverine. I was glad to see the little nerd boy get stabbed.

lolol....gotta agree wit u there....but c'mon give 'em a break..it was a while ago when they made him up. Definitely looks too happy, but then again, so was everything back then...all fruity and yay. 😱

Huh? Thanos without his relics (at normal power levels) drove back Galactus.

He also withstood Odin's assault.

Galactus is relatively LOW on the hierarchy.

I remember when Thanos took on Odin, back in the storyarc where Thor has Warrior's Madness or something....anyway, awesome fight.

that's not exactly true, yes they create balance but they have their own motives. Death and Abraxis in particular seek to destroy order and create chaos (death also wants a restraining order from Thanos and to bang deadpool-long story). and if i'm not mistaken, eternity was once a normal being named adam quantum. but if you don't count the universal brother, the living tribunal, and the abstracts, what your left with is Galactus, Thanos, The Beast (the one who guides the Hand), Mephisto, Dormammu, The Beyonder, Roma, who ever the hell rules limbo now (i think symm, nastirh, and Belasco are all dead), and the phoenix force

Like i said. In most recent times. In Thanos....ummm like 11-13 or something. He goes to some Universal prison to visit Death, then after that he confronts The Beyonder. Thanos beats the crap outta the Beyonder because it took the form of a female mortal body.

He/she/it's power was drastically limited by this choice of host body....so unless you're talking old school Beyonder...then that name should be left off the list.

Well, LT would probably be considered as the most powerful. However, LT has the ability to do whatever he wants (to keep the multiverse in balance), his abilities are much more subtle and do not necesserelly need the classical definition of power. so he is not really the most 'powerful' being in the classical sense, as he is beyond all concepts such as power and strength

how did you do your posting? i didn´t wright that it was linkalacious, but it appeared "originally posted by norrin radd" WHAT?????

i don't know.

i'm back....... but anyway, anybody who says thanos is amongst the top would have to re-check the source in which they draw thier conclusion from. yes he's very intelligent. yes he's very powerful BUT, he's nowhere near the top. in terms of sheer brute strength, mangog could dismantle thanos. also, thanos has never defeated odin. he made a statement by standing up to odin's punishment, but he in no way shape or form claimed a victory over him. there are tons of cosmic beings that have to be factored in. you can put them in order if you want, but me i'll just make my own list and keep it to myself. when the universe was threatened by the infinity gauntlet there was a cosmic brigade.... power houses at the time... kronos the titan god of time, the mysterious watcher, lord chaos and master order, the galactic balance, the power and enigmatic stranger, the mysterious embodiments of love and hate, the mighty destroyer of worlds Galactus, and eternity along with 2 celestials (it is popular belief that celestials are creations of eternity). living tribunal was also present, but he decided not to intervene, and later rendered the infinity gauntlet useless.

when faced with the peril of the Heart Of the Universe, there were much of the same cosmic entities present........inbetweener, galactus, stranger, hate, love, master order, lord chaos, infinity, the Entire race of celestials (thousands of them) zues and thor plus other elder gods, and a watcher (again)........... of coarse living tribunal was once again there, only this time even he was over come.....

once a long time ago, beyonder landed on the home world of the celestials, and humbled the entire race. this was pre-retcon. later it was revealed that what beyonder fought was merely illusions. his power was next to nothing to a single celestial. which would put him way down on the list........

1)whomever controls the heart

2)living tribunal

3) eternity, infinity, death
3 1/2)kronos (titan god of time) (not sure where to place him)
4)lord chaos, master order, master hate, mistress love

5) celestials, phoenix force

6)galactus

7)stranger/watchers.....

i know i have left some out, but this is all i can recall off hand without doing more research. but i'm sure most of them are the "top of the food chain" so to speak......

How is Living Tribunal #1 when Thanos with The Infinity Gauntlet defeated him?

he didn't.....

Plus, the Inifity Gauntlet isn't Thanos...Shadowcat with the Infintity Gauntlet could be Galactus, doesn't mean she's better.

Are the demons in DC really that powerful? I mean, Etrigan conquered Hell (because Lucifer was too bored to stop him, granted), and he isn't even powerful enough to defeat Superman.

A lot of them are, yes.

well i know that atleast some of this list is well....... off. galactus should be below the celestials. also, i don't think it's been established that eternity infinity or death have a definite edge in terms of power. i think they are all equal.... could you show me proof stating other wise? plus the phoenix force is waaaay down on the list, when she subdued galactus??? i think your list is pretty good other than that...

Re: Galactus and Celestials: I daresay this says it all.

"It has been well established that Galactus is a fundamental component of the Marvel Universe, and that the Marvel Universe ceases when Galactus ceases."

So...who is more powerful, even if indirectly?

Re: Infinity, Eternity, and Death: Quick question. Can you tell me how much more powerful they are over each other? Is it "definite?" Incremental? A hair more powerful? I do not think that the list references HUGE differences in power, and it will decrease (the differences) the higher up the ladder you go. For example, DC Comics - how much more powerful is The Presence over The Source?

Re: Phoenix Force: Yes, the Phoenix Force sans a host. Do remember that the Phoenix Force is an entity and it needs a host. Regarding him losing to Rachel, okay okay alright. He was HUNGRY. Now if Galactus absorbed his homeworld and was fully powered...I will never in life suggest that Rachel could defeat him.

Thank you for the compliment.
