I draw my sabre and rush over towards the east tables
Screaming: "COVER ME!!" (Ares use your free action to help me out a bit and the other action to aid Burn, Burn shoot that west table to sh*t)
as I am rushing towards the east table I Fire 4 Bursts at the goon hit for 4 Damage.
as a defence action I use Willow Step if more than one person attacks me if just one I use Shell of the trutle.
as a second attack action, (I suppose I have reached the east tables) I summersault over the tables to get to the goon hit for 2 Damage. And I slash at him verticaly while I finish the last part of my summersault, trying to cut him in half. I use a modified hand of the emperor, modified with hands without shadow
defence same as before Willow Step or Shell of the Trutle
Hmm. Actually when describing CK I forgot someone might move and do something with their action- you would havw to move to do that as the only people you killed near you had shotguns. You know, the more I try and simplify the original system, for on-line use, the more difficult it becomes...
Still, there you go, live and learn. I normally let you guys move AND act for simplicity but that is rather too much to allow, Burn.
I know- limits on very fast actions will become universal. You can only take two very fast actions in one turn. I'll quickly alter the rules to state that.
So, here is what happens:
Burn runs to the East side tables (his action)
He also want to drop his Deagle and picked up a dropped uzi. This would normally be a full action, but as I normally let you do thing son the move, that can become a Very Fast action (done in addition to his man action and costing an exertion)
He then has one Very Fast action left to fire his Gun with (second Very fast action of his turn- this also gains him an exertion.)
There! He may have gained a lot of exertion but Burn has done SIX things in two actions! Shoot, shoot, shoot, move, take, shoot. Neat.
So you can fire at the west table guys ONCE, Burn. How many targets, and how many bursts?
(Note: Actually, I like making it cost him an action to pick up that fallen weapon whilst moving. From now on, running (though probably not walking) and firing at the same time, or moving and doing any other complex action at the same time, will cost an exertion.)
Nah, Very Fast lets you take extra actions, Burn! A bit more useful than losing exertion, all you can get from which is eventually an extra action which you now get all the time. Like I say, you just acted 6 times in two actions!
Ok, Burn, you open fire. -1 to hit on three targets. You roll evens, -6, evens. Damn unfamilar weapon! Against your dodging targets, therefore, you get 14, 8, 14, two hits and a miss. The hits get bumped up by Coppertop Killer to 16... damn! Not quite enough to kill them, Burn! They are both Hit for 5. Bullets riddle the west wall of the bar, your targets diving down, not quite silenced...
Yes indeed they are endless, Cloud! You can have a competition with your mates to see who can kill the most- two each to you and Heph, one to Mors right now. Go Naturals!
You may want to post a defence as well.
Kosta, you spin and let loose at the new shotgunners, who came in and near surprised you. Two bursts, and so -1 to hit, on each...
You roll +2 and evens as your targets dodge out the way, giving you a 15 and a 13. Coppertop Killer makes that 17 and 15- sending one out, but one of them still stands, Hit for 4! You lose another exertion for your fast attack.
Castor, yes, your Willow Step saved you one damage... ok, not much, but it all adds up. You were just unlucky. I assume you mean bullets rather than bursts! Berettas not known for their burst fire.
You roll +5. That's more like it! With two shots from each gun, even with your penalty with BGB that's enough to blow away one of your foes. For moving and firing at once, you gain an exertion and head inside...
Fire has run over the action before, opening fire as he does so (costing him an exertion). However, presumably unused to the kick on these things whilst running, you roll -8, and your bullets go wide. Wild, even.
I asusme you are then dropping your gun and drawing your sword, Fire? That gains you an exertion. As you charge dow your goon, he and two of his friends gets a free shot on you- four bursts each-, which you Willow Step... they roll -2, -3... and +3 which is JUST a miss thanks to Willow!
You slash at your target, who WOULD dodge, but he can't as your deadly stab finds him out! You roll +3, and he is VERY dead. Neat kill, Fire, and you made it unscathed charging into a close combat fight, which is always cool to get away with!
Yes, you can attack those guys without them getting free shots at you now, Fire, but next action.
Ok, Burn... I WOULD have you move and fore back to the bar next action, but you do realise your Willow Step this action you want will Exert you out? I'll leave that stored for now, but you may change it any time you like.
30 bullets, yes. So no, you cannot do the same thing again; that was 18 bullets you fired just now.
