USH'S MATRIX GAME: SECOND ASSIGNMENT: 'Ghost Hunt'

Started by Ushgarak87 pages

Castor, yes you can.

Ares, Natural Order can only dodge you one shot at a time- how many tims are you willing to use it?

If you guys don't mind, I will leave it to tomorrow before updating, to give everyone a chance to see what is going on and think things over!

Also bear in mind there is scenery all around- tables, drinks, the bar, light fittings... all sorts! The Lon Wah is a REAL showpiece fight, a lot of budget spent on it if this were a film, so make it good! It's also a fight for both Martial Artists and gunners to shine in.

(So I can't shoot those bursts?)

You can shoot the bursts, Ares! Just if you are shot at more than once, I need to know what you plan to do. I can just have you defend, of course.

Mors uses Breath of the Dragon combined with Hand of the Emperor on the nearest mundane.

Oh! Willow Step then...

"Time to use my new staff..."

Heph performs Swipe of the Bamboo.

Ush> how close these mundanes? are they within striking distance, or would it take an action to get to them?

You can move and attack them in one, but a lot of them would get abonus shot on you as you charge them down.

ok...then

(walk of a thousand steps) as defense and i will shoot 3 shots at the very center mundane, so's i don't start killing people my buddies are working on...(gun)

Remember, WOTS boosts dodges, it's not a defence in of itself, it makes all your basic dodges this round better...

i know...

So you are not posting a defence then?

um, forget the Walk of a thousand steps, cause i would only be able to do it for so long...before exertion kicks in...just have me (defend) against everything.

o damn and me with only my deagle, oh well, lets get this sh*t started then,
hmm, lets see, 3 shots at a guy with a shot gun,
2 at the closest guy,
and 3 at the next closest
coppertop is fun!

OOOOOKAY! I missed A LOT! Anyhoo.

(I wont be on much over the course of the week, so I'll post multiple actiojns and pray to god. Sorry Ush.)

"Godamn it! Not this shit again. My gut is still sore."

*I unholster my Glock*

Slither of the snake, on the tree goons with shotguns and the bartender.

Then, "Willow step", and "Flying Weapon" on the 3 goon with shotguns. bursts of two rounds at each one of the goons. Then Eye of thhe Fox on one of thhe goons (Dont care which one) , Then willow step, and Water Weapon, on one of the goon, along side One shot frojm the shotgun to the chest of One of the goons

(Crosses fingers and prays it works.)

rade vertical dodges while firing 3 bursts with his mp5. two at one, and one at another.
(i think i can do that...shooting while vertical dodging.....like trinity in revolutions....and..neo in m1...)

"Dammit not again!"
(I might not be on that much this week, I've got a load of history to do for college. A 5-6 side essay and a page essay for this week. Damned ancient greeks)
JADE EMPEROR'S STANCE for my defence and a normal slash [WEAPON ATTACK] across the gut at my nearest enemy.

EDIT I had Ingrams, not Glock. Same bursts though

And EDITING MY ENTIRE POST

Slither of the Snake
Two bursts of 3 bullets at each of the goons on the east end the bar, and defence is Willow step, while jumping behind the bar for cover.

Ok! Let's get this show on the road!

Fast off the draw, Ares opens fire at the bar- being roughly parralel with it, his foes get no cover. Firing a burst each at two targets (who both duck down and dodge), he gets -2 to hit...

He rolls +3 for a total of 16. That's smart work, Ares, with your Coppertop Killer taking that to 18, the two of them are blown away almost at once, glasses and bottles shattering all around them as they go Out- very efficient with the bullets, too!

As you are a Master at Coppertop killer, Ares, that hasn't even used your action- only cost you an exertion! You may act again.

Coeus draws and fires at his target, who dodges. He rolls evens for a 10- JUST a miss, as your foes come in low...

Burn, meanwhile, is going into Coppertop Killer overload! Blam!

Oh my you are on form! You roll +9, +2, +9! I would not be surprised if that is your best rolling in the entire fight, Burn! This is SO the moment you have been waiting for, as you draw and blast away the two remaining shotgunners and one of those at the east of table without even pausing to take aim! Oh yeah...

Now, Celsius is being very clever, using Slither of the Snake, which no-one else has used yet, to make it so none of the shotgunners can target him. Problem is, they are all dead. Literally I should still make him pay, but as he will be away, that is cruel so I will let that one go!

Celsius fires off his six bursts at those east of the bar (who duck down behind their chairs as you fire). He rolls:

-5, +1, -1, for totals of 7, 13 and 11. That is two hits, which your Coppertop Killer helps with, for one Hit of 4 and one of 2.

His failure to kill might be attributed to him leaping behind the bar for cover, which will shield him from everyone to the east of the bar (total cover if he does not fire east of the bar, 3 points worth if he does try and shoot east).

Rade, yes, absolutely you can do that- defences never impair offence. Seeing the goons rushing in, Rade immediately flips off the wall behind him, firing as he goes... ok, tricky shot this one...

18 bullets he fires, with -1 to hit on one target, -2 on the second, -3 on the third. Rade rolls: +4, +2, and evens, for a total of 16, 13, 10. Two hits against his dodging targets, then +1 to that total for burst fire from an MP5, one is Out and another for 3.

Ok, wow, Ares and Burn caused quite a mess THERE!

Meanwhile, upstairs...

Mors, I am afraid those Dragon powers are not modifiers any more, so it is one or the other. I shall treat that as a Hand. Goons close in around you from all sides...

Youw sword flashes out! You roll +2. Your opponent dodges and blocks with his hook swords, but your blow screeches past his guard, hitting for a 15, plus the bonus mundane killing power of a sword, your blade cathces him in the ribs, and he falls...

As people close in around Heph, he raises his staff and makes a lightning fast double jab at two of them. He rolls +2- good going! An an intant, two of them are thrown back, with smashed chests, Out.

Cloud, you simply twirl and and slash at your nearest opponent. Rolling +2 and with a sword, you slash open the stomach of one before he even starts his blow.

Good start you three, but you rolled well, don't get cocky...

Ok, I'll just get the next action started in a mo...

I shall rule that as Castor asked about making a BGB attack on two people, that is what he does. He's not greatly accurate with this though... and he only clips one, for 1. But I shall make that the other one Rade hit, to bring him closer to death...

Ok, now the bad guys fire back.

First of all, the 11 outside fire at Coeus, Rade and Castor. They fire four bursts each, 4 attacks on each, less one on Castor.

Coeus,, one rolls a +8 on you for a total of 20- a hit! Not as bad as assault rifle fire, though- 8 damage.

Castor, a +5 says you are hit as well, for seven damage.

Rade, you would have been hit... but they cannot seem to pick you off in mid air, as you flip off the wall, blazing death at them...

(You three outside, you may be well advised to move in a bit and let these guys come inside. Then they would be drawn into the main combat, rather than you 3 having to take on everyone coming into the Lon Wah alone. If you want to say that, just say you stop blocking the door; you would remain in the entry area.)

The five other uzi guys fire one each at those in the bar. In which case, your original request for Natural Order goes ahead, and you are missed, Ares!

But now more are coming. A door in the south wall, by the bar, opens and two mroe shutgunners come out. An uzi armed man comes down the stairs, aiming at you. And another six bas guys come out of nowhere from the WEST side tables!

Then, upstairs! Bad guys close on, five on each of youy, except Heph who has 4!

Mors, a guy with a cudgel is at your front. He just takes an overhead swing at you. +3 gives him a 13, good but not good enough as you JUST parry it in time! A guy with a chain swings in from your left. He misses totally. One with twin sais is on your right, he rolls evens, a miss. Machete guy fits in behind and to your right, you spin to face him as WELL... oh my! He rolls +7, for a 17! You are hit, BB, though only a glancing cut, for five damage. Then hook sword guy is to your behind and left. He rolls +1; a miss.

Each of you is following a similar pattern- cudgel, chain, sais, machete, hooksword. Please tell me which one you are targetting from now on- and how you plan to do it! This fight needs a bit more imagination than just hit a, hit b, hit c etc. Heph, you already killed your sai guy.

Agains you, Heph, there are some good attacks, but using your staff you fend them all off in a caocphony of parrys!

Cloud, cudgel guy swings at you. +2 for a 12, good shot, but not good enough. You parry his blow easily, twist the sword, and riposte at once! You roll evens; not good enough for a kill, but as you say you are busy this week, I shall rule that you Gift of the Jade Emperor that, making it an auto mundane kill as you run him straight through, shaering through his spine- but you must recover your weapon next action.

The others atack you. You are looking good Cloud- they all miss!
