well, what does the kitchen look like, Ush? where are doors, exits, tables, ovens, etc? is there anyway i could get to Mors in time? or should we dispose of these guys before we all move on? If i can't reach him either way, i will jump out from behind the tray and use (water weapon) and (flying sword) against one of the guys on the left side. (defend)
Well... I am not sure what happened there, but having warned you guys about the tactical inadvisability of simply trying to stuff everyone two at a time into the Kitchen... what you have done is stuff everyone two at a time into the Kitchen. Interesting.
Coeus, the kithcen- mainly done out in stainless steel- has most of what would work as cover facing north/south, you are in the southern end of the Kitchen and the goons are in cover at various parts of the northern half. There are few tables, just work surfaces which are no good for cover, but plenty of detatched ovens, sinks, dishwashers, cupboards and so on. There is also plenty of cutlery, pots and pands hanging around The geography of the kitchen is really not greatly important though, but there is a door to the north.
You have no idea how long it will take you to reach Mors. That is information you have no way of knowing.
Heph, you spin your knives and stab quickly for a high-quality attack... you roll +1, for a 17. Zuban is hit again! He takes another two damage.
Zuban smash back! He rolls -3. Much further away this time!
Ok, Cloud, you make your Hand attack on Ya. He dodges, which will exert him! You roll +2, for a final total of 16- a hit! 4 damage to Ya as you slice him again!
Ya does not attack you. But Yu, seeing his comrade hit, backs off for a moment. Smiling, he extends his hand out towards you for another Lure, beckoning you in...
Cloud, you attack Yu again with your sword, which he dodges with a Learned Tutor's Block. You roll evens for a 13- blocked! Yu smiles, again...
Yu performs a Seven Shaolin Flip, a throw from a Block that automatically hits. It is worth a d6 outcome, for which Ya rolls a 1, luckily for you Cloud, so this counts as having hit you by one.
You are flung across the room, Cloud, for four damage- this wounds you again, and you are sent Prone once more. Bit of a Neo moment this... fight on, boy!
Celsius, you open fire. Two bursts on one guy... gives you +1 to hit, but then there is a lot of cover that your Eagle Eye does not necessarily negate. You roll -1, for a final total of 14, which equals his defence with his dodge, but your glancing shot impacts off his body armour.
Ok, Coeus, two of them will get reflex atacks on you as you charge these guys down in mid-air!
One attack totally misses. But the other rolls +7, for a final total of 20 A hit by 5, Coeus. That is 11 damage you can ill afford. In fact, you must death check. He, +10... still standing, I think!
You strike. You roll -1 on your attack as your target dodges. That makes your final total 13 to his 12. Your sword jams into his body armour, doing nothing, and you just manage to yank it out again...
Ok, bad guy's turn. One of them is exetred out but the other five will fire, once on each of you. There is one attack with only two bursts left- that is the one Coeus gets.
Close! Misses this turn- the iron stove Celsius is behind takes the brunt of the attack on him.
Blimey, I never knew six mundanes could cause so much trouble...
Ares and Burn now enter the Kitchen.

Ok, this turn Cloud is getting up; the Go Twins will do another punch/kick combo at you. Zuban swings at Heph (of course), and the Knifeman will be doing a Sting of the Butterfly and a standard attack on Mors.
Actually, you may note that the definition of powers like Slither of the Snake has subtly changed. I was going to fill you guys in later. BTW, that is a spectacularly good idea to use, though bear in mind that it doesn't stop them firing at you if you charge them down!
Ok, you start to move around the Kitchen, now you are better angled and they are only in three points of cover to you. You fire.
+5! That is MUCH better! That gives you a 20. He dodged, and with his cover you needed 13. You ignore one point of his armour... that is a Hit for 6! Remember, you now need 8. Nonetheless, good shot!
Well BB since you want me in there so bad here it goes:
I rush in jumping towards one of the unhit goons using FLYING WEAPON MODIFIED WITH ROARING BLADE STRIKE (-6 Focus), if he aint dead yet use Gift of the emperor to kill him of
as a defence action: if I get attacked by 2 or less opponents Use Turtle Shell on both of them (-5 Focus, +2 extertion) IF I get attacked by more opponents Willow Step (-1 Focus, +1 exterion)
I ASSUME I can't defend against reflex attacks
Rade rises from behind the troley and fires 3 bursts at the attackers. ( 3 targets..a burst for each. make one of them the one that kosta hit)
He lowers himself back to cover when finished
(hey..is a prodigious leap enough to get me behind their cover, at close combat range? because...those bursts were my last piece of ammo)
To take things one at a time...
Fire, of course you can defend against Reflex attacks! But you aren't in there yet so all that will have to wait.
Cloud, much as I am thinking you are starting to wish you can block, I guess you mean defend...
You get another two-point brusing from Ya's fist, Cloud. Damn it! But other than that you get back to your feet ok.
Rade... hmm. Shame you are out of ammo as you are the best person for this, what with you being able to totally ignore their cover and armour. I think firing at three was streching it rather.
But good shooting! You roll +8, +1, +2. That makes 19, 12, 13. With your Eagle Eye and the Mundane Killing Power of your gun, that is one kill! Then one is Hit but not well enough to achieve anything, and another is Hit for 1.
A leap would indeed get you past their cover and into cover of your own in one move. That would be a good move if you still had ammo (others take note!). However, no matter what you do, if you enter close combat with them from a distance they'll get a free attack on you.
Castor, yes, consider that a Very Fast action so you can even still move.
