USH'S MATRIX GAME- General Discussion

Sorry, meaning what?

If you win a war by killing vast majority of your kind and destroying all opposition consisting of sentient beings( and some of the Exiles that are going to die are hardly enemies of humanity), is it really such a great victory? Especially that it isn`t certain we really HAVE to resort to such measures- we have Neo now, new hope.

Only to some. Neo is a measure of faith. That's applying the logic of religion to it.

No-one said anything about 'great'. But it IS victory, as opposed to not victory.

But we don`t know yet how powerful the Neo can become, or what will be the result of our experiences with the Exiles- Melkor was hoping that some Exiles could be allies, and he was right in the way. Now he is a bit confused. Weren`t those Monks supposed to contemplate and do nothing?

By the way, who said that Zion is so doomed that we need such desperate measures at this point?( I am talking about the IC knowledge of our characters).

Jericho did. That's why he was going to be fired- he qwas too closr to the truth.

And no, you don't know. That's why it requires faith. This situation, on the other hand, is fact.

Well, I will put in another way- I don`t know for a fact that Hunter`s solution is the only way to save Zion, yes?

No, but you DO know it is a fact that it IS a way to save Zion and that you know of no other.

I think that my character may not go with Berserker`s end justifying the means aproach- this is how Sennacherib thinks.
That isn't Berserker's stance he takes all life as valuable he thinks this whole situation stinks. Hence why he said he wanted to go in first he would rather something bad happen to him then anyone else

There are other possibilities, though. And what if I think of Neo as a very powerful weapon with limits yet unknown?

Still, the survival of Zion is the primary goal, almost all will agree. Difficult situation. Yet, I would like to find a way to survive myself.....

Other possibilities are not facts. What you think of Neo is belief, not fact.

What if your beliefs are wrong? Assuming you have the power to control this situation and you do not do it, what if there is never another chance?

Sorry, I confused you with Barb... 😉

Now, if we could just start our fight (and thus get it over with), that'd be great 😛

(yay for non-subtle hints)

And it is getting difficult Ush, all those in Matrix are enslaved, but their existance has value as well.....

Well, my character believes in personal freedom, but respecting freedom and rights of others is as important- it is just that most people are constrained and may be wasting their lives instead of searching for truth. Where does it get us from here.....

But , in game, he's sacrifice their lives for his own, right?

Hawk sits in his chair, drumming his finger lightly on the controls, slouched in boredom.

"Those Sentinels must be a long way away from us. Why were we so worried?"

...Oh wait, wrong thread. 😛

😂

Eh, Heph thinks that, while the Machines would lose tons of power from this, it's way too extreme, even for Mr. Impulsive here.

I'm so happy I just finished thinking up the background for Berserker
😛

I've decided that Sirin was a prostitute or stripper who had too much free computer time. 😛

That could work for a social outcast, eh?

Only if you provide the evidence for me...

Well, Melkor will be a bit shocked then. 😱
