The Beatles

I think that the duo Jagger-Richards is one of the best ones in the music story.

And , by the way, you could like the beatles or not, that is clear. But to deny their talent and their place in music story, its really annoying and absurd.

The denial of their creativity is what is bad. Their talent, eh...for their time I suppose was great.

Ironically, you've got it the wrong way round AND committing a double-standard:

YOU can like The Beatles, but implying they are the best band ever in every way possible (which you continually do, and I continually whoop you) is absurd. More absurd than anything else.

AC, I don't discount what you're saying-in fact I like a lot of today's music...Alicia Keyes, AudioSlave, Green Day are very talented bands/artists. I think I just weigh the history/influence side of music more than you do, while you're focused on what is great today, which could be...(grrr) perhaps some of the greatest music also.

You don't weigh anything more than I do, you're just stuck in a time zone. No offense.

Hence why you said "grrr" when admitting that modern bands have produced some of the best music ever. There's no "also", they have. Especially from the 90's onward.

Why is it a bad thing that music is better now, for the most part? Well, where it matters? You're not a music fan if you're so stuck in a time that you would deny music it's right to positive evolution.

Their talent wasn't "great" even at the time. They weren't amazing musicians. Hence why it's stupid to claim they were anywhere close to bands like Rush, who are arguably the best in that area.

I'm not denying how creative they were in the day, I'm saying that claiming they are the best band ever in terms of innovation is now stupid. There are and have been better bands. If you don't prefer them, fine. You can't sit there saying that it's bad to deny The Beatles and then deny any band that came after who were quite clearly better.

Uhhhh....mmmmm....

I know...to each their own, AC.

In terms of personal preference, yes.

I have a biased opinion. But, I'm not so sure I still wouldn't pick them as the greatest band ever given their impact on the music industry. 😬

they're a little overrated, but still they have so many classic songs that I enjoy. By no means are they the most talented band. But I do love them dearly 😍

Very debatable.......................very true, respectively.

I'm sorry, AC, I respect your opinion, but to say that "factually" Music today is better is well....impossible to back up, isn't it?

umm, i'm not sure but i herd the producer, george micheal?, made most of their songs. i also herd he taught them how to play their instruments as well. does anybody know if this is true or not?

I quite like them. Some of their songs are brilliant- Yesterday and Eleanor Rigby anyway... but far from my favourite band... JL was the best...

I think that they are good, they have some good songs but they are not really one of my favourite bands.

You don't mean George michael... and John wrote their 2 best songs, Eleanor Rigby and yesterday...

Sorry, but both eleanor rigby and yesterday were compossed by Paul, not John.

By the way, in general terms, there wont never a band like the beatles.

in general terms there have already been tons of bands like the beatles

in other words...overrated pop bands

Tell me those tons.

And the beatles have their place in music story, nothing overrated.
