Best Album (maybe ever) : White Album. The cool thing about this album is, that it sounds just as fresh as it did 40 years ago.
From classic rock to pop to blues to pre-noise to experimental to whatever : a lot of different styles, but it works.
Other good albums : Rubber Soul, Abbey Road and Peppers of course.
I think the problem is : The Beatles wrote SO MANY great songs, and have had SO MANY hits, that people just take them for granted.
You know, Oh, just the Beatles, no big deal.
They are, by far, the most influential band ever. The best band, well that's up for debate, but I can't name one band that has had as much influence as the Beatles.

Bardock, in terms of measurement , its impossible to evalue beatles influence in music, because its so big. I wont be so far as m.t. , but here are a reference: first group mixing several musical styles. First or second conceptual album. First video clip. And i could say a lot more.
Cool, how do we measure influence (generally)?
