The Sill. would have to be made for true fans. Alot of ppl who are LOTR movie fans wouldn't be as interested because of the change of characters. NO Legolas, or Frodo, or Aragorn. So in turn no Orli, Elijah, or Viggo. While I would love to see it, and would be amazed that it had been adapted. Many would not understand it, IMO.
I thought I was going to go into the movie and sit there fascinated with Aragorn, but really I wasn't paying too much attention to him. I was, but I was paying more attention to the entire movie. I've read the books but since they added and taken out stuff I paid very close attention.
I have a question, and I'd rather ask it here instead of opening a new thread. You know the scene when Arwen is riding on her horse to Grey Havens? She has a flashback or the future. Is that her husband, Aragorn, holding their son? It's probably obvious because right after she runs back to her father and asks him if he has seen her son.
I think (hope) that was 'just' a response to the generalising post of Kitoky, and he does not really believe that.
I'm sure this is true, though announcing the Hitler idea was kind off really baaaaad. No offense...
The Silmarillion will probably attrack less people but then again it will probably attrack more because now that people has seen the Lord of the Rings and the next popular thing after The Hobbit would be The Silmarillion. I'm not sure how good it would be depending on the director and maybe some of the cast. Cate Blanchett should indeed come back in the tale of Galadriel and Celeborn.
The actor who played Theodred should come back to the The Battle at Ford Isen. Again not sure how good it'll be considering the time span.

Arwen saw the future and Elrond has an ability to do that, and he must've saw the same thing at an earlier time and so he wanted to do something for his daughter. Most likely Aragorn gave the Evenstar to his son, Eldarion.
"The Evenstar does not wax or wane...."
Very silly....
Opinions are just that. Not only is this the best done 3 films (Trilogy ever to grace the screen) but I think it did the original story teller justice ten times over as more people than ever before will go read his work. Not only that but in ANYONE else's hands this Trilogy would have tanked...
Can you imagine a James Cameron version in 3D or a George LUcas version with 90% CGI MIddle Earth...
Silly rabbit/.//

If I had more time, I would say TONS of stuff to you, but I don't. So, simply, you are WRONG! Peter Jackson is an awesome director and he knows what he's doing so you can just shut up. If you're such a LOTR fan, you wouldn't be critisizing the movie! Personally, I loved all three movies and (since I dont have a DVD player so I, sadly, can't see the EE) I wish they could be longer and yes, I have read all three books so I know what was taken out and what wasn't. I enjoyed every second of all of the movies and I even cried in the ROTK which is saying something cuz I never cry while watching movies. I mean NEVER. And I cried at least 3 times in ROTK. As for the singing, I thought it was awesome. Viggo Mortensen and Billy Boyd have amazing singing voices which is another good reason to put the singing in the movie. And although there wasn't all of the songs in the movie that were in the book, there were some like "The Road Goes Ever On and On" and such. I loved Aragorn's and especially Pippin's songs (cuz Pippin is, if you couldn't tell, my favorite character 😛). They were amazing. I wish I could sing like that. LoL. And, like many others before me, said, Tolkien didn't want the title to be Return of the King, so don't complain about that. And I didn't read what everyone else said before me...just the first page...so I don't know what else you're complaining about. All I have to say is you are one annoying bitchy person and calling yourself a LOTR fan is an insult to all of us real LOTR fans. If you love LOTR and are a fan of it, you would not complain once for any of the movies and/or books. Ha, and I said this wouldn't be long...Well, it probably isn't long compared to some others 😛 But oh well. I've gotta go. You (and when I say you, I mean the REAL LOTR fans who don't ***** about what was wrong with the movies and such) can IM or email me, but I recomend you emailing me cuz I'm gonna change my screen name soon to something LOTR related of course 😛 So buh bye you wonderful hobbit lasses/lads! Namaarie! (For those of you who don't know, that's "Farewell" in Elvish...Aren't I so smart. LoL.)
