It IS the best trilogy ever made! It's the best MOVIE ever made! Lord of the Rings is awesome and I don't think there was, is, or ever will be a better movie. The same goes for the book. Ooh guess what! I went to Hot Topic today and found a Gollum shirt!!! WOO HOO! And, of course, I bought it. Haha....I didn't even know they had LOTR shirts....Cool! Anyways, I don't think you should watch movies just to find things that are wrong about them. You should just enjoy the movie! I did. For all three I just enjoyed it. I didn't care what wasn't in the book or what was but not in the movie. It's still the best movie ever and the book is the best book ever. No one will ever make a better book or a better movie...ever...it's just not possible!
