Does Metal really suck?

Why wouldnt you like metal

you can say metal sucks a million times, but why does it suck, ignorant fools, you can not say one genre sucks because you've barely heard a few bands. if you don't like how they sound thats called an opinion, kiddies.
and if you say they have no talent, please pick out a metal band and tell me why. I am interested in know. do you know how many confusing beats some metal bands play, can you play a double-bass drum really fast and at the same time play fast with your hands. can you remember all the switches and changes from 5beat to 6 beat to 5 beat and all that kind of stuff??

I'm in a metal band, and our music is far from basic as we are all talented musicians *head swells*!

Yeah, everyone is entitled to their own opinion but it astonishing with the amount of ignorance out there! Yeah you get the simple stuff like Evanenscence and Good Charlotte, but some types of metal is some of the most talented art forms of today!

Some people should go away and get a musical education!

I remember I used to bash rap all the time, but I hated it when people bashed my music. So i started treating other peoples opinions as I would want mine to be treated and quite frankly I learned that not all rap is crap and I learned that not all metal,hardcore,and punk was good.

newer metal does not suck. no matter how much some people may hate it, metal has evolved into what it is today. a lot of the greatest metal bands of all time have become big in the 90's. SOAD, Korn, RATM, Deftones, In Flames etc. They do not suck.

i have clayman its the only one i can find here in modesto plus i seen them live over the summer they were awsome all bands should take notes from in flames

yeah there cds are hard to find in the stores i got Reroute to Remain, Jesters Race and their first one Lunar Strain all off the web. ive never seen em live though i gotta check em out sometime.

I like the old metal best too, but thats because I grew up when it was hot and all my friends were metal fans. If I were to be a teen today I guess I would go for the new stuff

Well, I'm a teen today and for metal I tend to go for the older stuff like Iron Maiden and Metallica. Although I like new stuff like Kittie and Arch Enemy (with Angela on vocals)

ive seen kittie live they have a great show

industrial is top notch. Metal has been watered down by the mainstream and made radio friendly. The only industrial bands to get decent radio play are NIN and stabbing westward but they are both still great. If you dig Industrial in the key of ministry and NIN then you'll dig Needlework.
