Under the Sea...

"Lila, please answer my question."

She looked up at him. "You're not just my king anymore." She told him quietly. "I like you."

Lindar hicupped louder. He put hands over his mouth.

She wished she hadn't said it, even though sooner or later he would know by reading her mind.

(I dont read minds, I read emotions and canf ocus on them))

"I-I like u too Lila." He heard a hiccup in the distance. he focused on the hiccup adns wam toward it with Lila

She began swimming again, looking for Lindar. She heard the hiccups from behind the rock, and swam to him. "Hi. Why are you hiding?"

Ewan showed up just after Lila told King Thay what she really thought about him. He hadn't heard it, but he could tell from the looks on both their faces what it had been. He looked at Lila, not knowing what to say. "Thank you, my lord. It is a great act of bravery, what you have done.." Then he turned and swam slowly away.

Lindar sniffled. "I didn't mean to anger the king. I was just trying to help, but I always get in the way." he said.

"EWAN! Ive gotta speak with you in my private chambers after we get back to the palace!"

"Lindar, U dont get in the way, ur a big help. little one."

((ok so can we just get back to the palace now))

"No no Lindar, you don't get in the way." She then saw Ewan in the distance swimming away. "Oh no." She could tell he heard something. She quickly swam after him. "Ewan!" She called after him, swimming faster. "Ewan, please wait!"

Ewan heard Lila shouting after him. He turned to face her, a somewhat hurt expression on his face. He didn't say anything.

Tears swelled in her eyes. "I'm sorry if I hurt you. It's true I have feelings for King Thay, but even if I had a shot with him, I don't know if I would take it because..." She stopped, feeling the sudden rush of feelings finally catch up with her. "Beacause I wouldn't be able to forgive myself for not getting to know you." She studied his face. "I really like you Ewan, I really do." She paused for a moment. "I don't know if we're meant to be or not, but I would like to give it a try." She looked down. "I can understand if you don't want to ever talk to me again."

Thay swam up behind Lila.

"damn the world adn its varying complications"

He heard what Lila said, and felt he should coorect her error on the chance part, but didnt say anything

He decided too speak up.

"Lila. You're wrong. You do ahve a chance. Chenelle and my wedding is off, we are over. We still have a chance."

He nodded slowly. Despite what had just happened, he somehow understood. "I'll never know why this had to happen, but I forgive you for it." He wasn't much for words. He smiled a little, and kissed Lila gently on the forehead.

She looked up at King Thay. "What? No.. she loves you. I'm sure she does. If it wasn't for that stupid kiss you would still be together, happy as ever."

Lindar watched. "Uh oh." he said in a small squeeky voice.
