Under the Sea...

Ewan looked at both of them. Then he kissed Lila on the cheek and swam back home.

Roogna refrained from pubilicly showing his affection for Lila while they swam to the Palace.

A messenger appaered at Ewan's door later in the evening. "King Roogna requests your adience in his royal chambers."

Theo went to talk to the security guard at the gate.

Chenelle woke up alone and cold. She didn't remember anything at all. She didn't even remember who she was.

Lila sat in her room. It was furnished very nicely, with bright colors and gems. It was down the hall from Thay's. After thinking for a moment she got up and swam over to his room and knocked on the door lightly.

Ewan put his best coat on and left for the palace.
He bowed respectfully to the king. "What does my lord require of me?"

"Ewan. There is a war coming. A terrible war. Many will die. Ill need you as a scout. Can you do this for me?"

"Ewan let me know when ure ready with your answer."
An aide of the king led Ewan through the halls of the palace to his room.
King Roogna sat alone on his throne.

"How do you know this, my lord?.. I don't mean to question you.. I trust you very much." Ewan swallowed hard and continued. "What must I do, lord?" The prospect of being in a war scared him very much, but he trusted and respected King Thay. He also loved his home. He would do it if it would help the kingdom.

"Ewan. The Wizards Council told me. The War with the Antlantians will be devastating. But we can win if were prepared. You're fast, and stealthy. We could use you as a scout. Now go and think on this. I must wait."

"Yes, my lord." Ewan stood up (or whatever a mer-person would do) and slipped out of the room.

Lila sat in her room. It was furnished very nicely, with bright colors and gems. Warm sheets layered the bed for when the waters turned cold. Windows lead to the flowered courtyard. It was down the hall from Thay's. After thinking for a moment she got up and swam over to his room and knocked on the door lightly. There wasn't an answer, so she searched the palace for him. She found him in his throne. She swam before him and bowed. "May I take a moment of your time, my lord?"

"Yes Lila?"

"I would like to thank you for allowing Ewan to stay. You are truly a noble king who thinks with his heart." Even though he confessed his love for her, she knew her place, and her place was under him. (( wow.. double meaning there 😂 ))
