Under the Sea...

Lila got into bed. She didn't see the letter slid under her door, nor did she hear his goodbye. However, she felt something was wrong. She couldn't sleep. A bad feeling grew inside her.

Ewan swam into Lila's room and laid down next to her.

Lila was surprised he swam into her room. As he opened the door the letter Thay had slid underneath moved to underneath her dresser. She turned over to face Ewan as he laid next to her and a smile appeared upon her lips. Her eyes scanned over his face, the smile remaining as she lightly kissed him. She then gently wrapped an arm around his stomach and laid her head on his chest.

Lila's presence eased his troubled mind a little. He smiled to himself and thought about how lucky he was.

She still wondered how she would tell the merpeople about their new king, she had an idea, but she wasn't positive. She didn't want to think about it now, she just wanted to embrace the feeling of being there with Ewan, but she couldn't help worrying about Thay.

((can we just skip ahead to morning?))

Ewan rolled over so that he faced Lila and whispered in her ear: "I love you."

Lila awoke the next morning. She was still curled up next to Ewan as the rays of the sun traveled through the water and illuminated the the palace. She carefully slipped out of bed and swam to her closet to get dressed. She decided to wear the golden lace shirt Thay gave her for her birthday. It had a certain see through quality to it, but as stated before, mermaids were not shy creatures. She let her hair down so it covered part of her anyways. She looked back to the bed where Ewan still slept and she smiled.

A ball bounced down the hallway of the palace. Lindar chased ftar it trying to stop it before it broke anything.

Ewan was still asleep..

She heard someting in the hallway and swam out to see what it was. There she saw Lindar.

Lindar's ball bounced up just out of his reach and knocked over a vase. He caught it and set it back on it's table before heading after the ball again.

She watched him with a smile. "Hi Lindar."

Lindar smiled before he heard something glass crash to the floor. He flinched.

She glanced around and saw the ball rolling on the sand away from a broken glass bird. She swam up to it and picked it up. It was beyond repair.

Lindar finally caught up with his ball and stopped it. Carrying it, he made his way towards Lila. "I'm sorry." he apologized.

She looked up at him and then stood up (( or the equivlant for a merperson )) "It's ok." She assured him. "Just be more careful." She smiled warmly and playfully messed up his hair. "Why are you always in the palace, Lindar?" She asked curiously.

"Escaping." he said simply. "I can leave and not come back, if you want." he said heading for the balcony.

She swam after him and gently grabbed his arm. "No, I don't want you to leave." She told him as she swam in front of him to face him. "What are you escaping from?"
