Thay swam and swam, slowly gliding along the ocean floor. he saw a glint of metal on the seabed and stooped down to get a better look. It was a disc shaped object, with a title on it called "Samsung Cd Player" next to it were headphones. A few inchs away was a black felted case. He picked it up and flipped through its contents. "Nickelback, 50 cent, Learn Chineese in ten lessons... Ewan would love this." He picked it up and carried it along with him and finally he came upon a small Coral reef. On it he saw Pearls, raw, uncut pearls, glowing with natural beauty. They reminded him of Lila. And the thoguht of Lila and Ewan...he stopped thinking of them. "Lila would love these, so antural, so pretty...". He pryed some off with the blunt end of his trident and swam on to the cave from earlier.
She closed the door behind them and then turned to face him. "Please, let me just say this without any interruptions." She said quietly, thinking of how she'd put this delicately. "You are the king, Ewan. You are not my equal. As a mermaid of the palace, it is my job to say 'my lord' and 'your excelency' Until I die I shall alway reffer to you as such, and it is my duty to ask you 'What do you wish of me, my lord?' It's just the way it is." Lia didn't mean to be rude, or mean. She just told him how she felt, and how things were. "The whole kingdom will act just as I, because you are the king." She lowered her head, feeling a little shameful for talking in such a manner.
Thay fell asleep in the cave, hoping that LILA WOULD READ THE NOTE SOON. Thay's dreams turned into nightmares. Nightmares of his friends and family being burned alive. Lila being torn apart slwoly and painfully. His kingdom being destroyed. He heard a voice. "...This is what will happen if you don't stop them..." "Stop who?" "... the demon..." "Who?" "..." Thay woke up.
(( how many times has Lila been kissed? 50? 60? 😂 jk, no complaints here ))
She turned to see what he wanted, and just as she did his lips met hers. She wrapped her arms around him and kissed him back, carressing her tongue against his, and closing her eyes to embrace the moment. Since he became king, this is the first time she thought of him as Ewan. When he released her she felt a little tingly and disoriented. "I'm gonna, I'm gonna go now..." She said smiling. "I'll, um.." She felt herself blushing. "I'll be back."
Something swam in front of the cave just as Thay woke up. "what was that...?" he asked himself. His hand felt for his Trident, but it was gone. "Oh no." A flipper smacked into his. "Ugh." Thay grabbed the flipper before it could hit him again and he twisted it, breaking the bones inside of it. A merman floated down in fron of him carrying his trident. Thay quickly wrenchd it from her hands.
