((well I'm not too clear on it myself but here goes: Thay left Lila a letter telling her she had to choose between him and Ewan (don't know if you were here for that or not) Lila said she chose Ewan but still cares about Thay so Thay ran off to Atlantis to "stop the war before it started" and Lila went with him but Ewan had to stay home because the wizards said that if he left the kingdom would fall. Now here's the part I'm not sure about: Thay and Lila got to Atlantis and somehow convinced them to call off the attack... I think LTA said something about an evil sorceror... anyways, the Atlantians are supposed to stop attacking only they dunno it yet (neither does Ewan) so Ewan and his homies have to fight the Atlantians--4000 to 10000. Meanwhile Lila and Thay are back in Atlantis. Lila can feel what's happening to Ewan back in the big apple and she's afraid something's going to happen to him. Thay is sleeping through the whole thing))

Ewan charged forwards on his dolphin, which was all white and quite a bit larger than an ordinary one. He hacked away at the enemy soldiers. He heard a series of commands shouted from behind him, followed by a volley of arrows, each of which thudded into an Atlantian. After about thirty minutes of hard fighting, the enemy started falling back. This gradually culminated into an all out run (or swim) for their lives.
But Ewan noticed that once they got to a certain point, they stopped and reformed their ranks. The water was so murky that it was impossible to see very far. Then his eyes widened in horror as he saw what it was. Some thirty-five huge sharks, each with a soldier to control it as well as several archers came ripping out from the brownish cloud. Ewan pulled back on the reins and joined the front rank of calvary in his army. Then the sharks virtually tore into it. Ewan was one of the few mermen on the front line who wasn't ripped to pieces by a shark. He flinched as an arrow thudded into his shoulder. He looked down, surprised to see that it had only nicked him, thanks to the chainmail shirt.

(( I guess LTA left, so we'll just fix it like we always do, and pretend his last post never happened 😂 ))

Lila finally drifted to sleep, but the sweet idea of sleep betrayed her when she had a nightmare about Ewan. He had gone to war and the army they were fighting was too big. He was in the front line when he was attacked, stabbed and ripped open. Lila awoke, sitting strait up in the bed. She looked around, still feeling the fear of the nightmare. Thay had his arm around her and his tail fin wrapped around hers. She slowly got out of his grasp and got out of bed. She walked over to the balcony and looked out. She missed Ewan so much.

((sorry, my dad came home prematurely and so on and so forth...))

Ewan, never getting to sleep, just faking, felt the wieght of the bed shift as Lila left it. He stopped his brething to listen for Lila. She was on the balcony. He knew what she was feeling, knew what the dream was. He stood up and moved tocomfort her. "Lila? What do you want to do now? Whatever it is, I'll do it."

Lila felt the pain Ewan felt and she closed her eyes, forming her hands into fists, and hitting the railing. She lowered her head, and images of the war flashed before her eyes.

((YAY you're here! Force was mad at me earlier..))

"Lila?" Thay noticed her fists wreclenched and the slam on the rail.

She was surprised by Thay's voice which broke the silence and pulled her back to reality. She looked at Thay. She knew if she returned to the kingdom she would be killed, and if she stayed here Ewan might die. She didn't know what she was going to do. She answered Thay's question in one word. "Pray."

"Theres a chapel in the palace." He slowly took her hand and led her there. "It'll be okay"

She followed him, swiming slowly. She swam inside the church and knelt behind a pew and bowed her head and began to pray.

Thay didn't believe in prayer, but after the encounter with the "angel" he had converted. He nklet down beside Lila adn began to pray. "I love you, Lila. It'll be okay."

Ewan's dolphin dodged neatly to the side as one of the sharks charged him. Then Ewan leapt off his mount and onto the huge beast. He punched one of the archers in the face, sending him crashing to the ocean floor. The next one fired an arrow, which he ducked underneath just in time. After killing all the troops on the shark, Ewan gritted his teeth and stabbed the monster through its skull, ending its life.

Lila stood up after three hours of prayer. She felt bad Thay was there to endure it all, but she had so much to pray for: the kingdom, the merpeople of the palace and their survival in the war, Lindar and him being a victim of his abusive father, and most of all Ewan.
She placed her hand on Thay's shoulder. She was exhausted. "Let's go to bed." She swam back to the room and curled up in the big bed.

((The woman of my internet dreams is back... WOOHOO! happy new year))

Thay nodded slowly. Despite the fact that she thoguht he had nothing to pray for, he did. He prayed for Ewan, to survive, and for Lila, so that she would never feel the pain of either of us warrign for her heart again. For Chenele and Lindar, and for the kingdoms soldiers... "Lila? I-I love you. He'll survive. You don't have to worry about it."

She was facing away from him when he spoke. She rolled over and turned on her other side to face him. "I know, I love you too." She told him. "I hope so."

((war sucks...))

"Can you sleep now?"

She nodded smiling. "Yeah." She curled up next to him and went to sleep.

Thay fell asleep, taking comfort in there closeness.

The battle had been going on for over six hours now. Many on both sides had been killed. Ewan knew that it would not end until the Atlantians retreated, or until his whole army was killed.
Ewan looked up just as a volley of arrows from the enemy side came crashing down on his side. He tried to dodge to the side, but he was grappling with an enemy soldier and couldn't. An arrow cut through the water and struck him just below the ribcage. ((Yes I know that bows wouldn't work underwater but they're magic bows... Also the reason the arrow can get through his armor is because.. well actually getting through the plate armor isn't a problem because it's so thin.. and the chainmail it can get through because its a narrow-headed arrow--I think they're called Bodkin Arrows)) He looked down at the wooden shaft sticking out of his armor and fell to the sea floor. In the heat of battle, no one noticed that thier king had fallen.
((just so you know Ewan's not dead))
Ewan "limped" slowly over to the nearest reef and "sat down" against it. He grabbed his sword with both hands and rested the pommel on his "lap," so that it the edge of the blade was closest to his body. This way, whatever kind of light there was would be reflected off of it and it could be seen for several miles off.

((im dissapointed that hes not... 😂 nd I dont think that Lila should realize it until we actually get back to the kingdom... makes it more dramatic...))
