I always imagined Halo 2 for Xbox Live would be like a happy, sportsmanlike community who just wants to have fun. Kind of like me and a dozen friends on one of our LAN hosted games. Those were the times, when it didn't really matter who lost or won, you were just there to have fun. Hah, yeah right.I read an article yesterday about judging gender in Halo 2 gaming on Live. The OXM(Official Xbox Mag) signed up for new gamertags with feminine Tags, and made their girlfriends/wives/general female members of the family put on the headsets and talk.
The majority of the responce were good: A simple "Good game," or "Nice playing, ma'am." acknowledged their supposedly "female" prescence. Others noticed that there were indeed females playing, but kept neutral about it.
The minority rest gave them smack such as "This is a man's game, hon." or "I can't believe a girl's playing." And were loud about it too.Losers.
sadly, your looking at the wrong game. most of the time in the lower levels it's either out of control or incredibly tame....but when you get higher the first words out of a persons mouth are "J00 gt0z pWn3D!!11"
I try to be respectful, but some games I get so pissed off I just want to strange someone.
I especially hate it when people leave on the enemy team the first 1 minute into the game or they get a bad death/kill ratio. Do your left with 1 guy who quit when it started, 1 guy who got 3 kills and 14 deaths, and one guy who got 4-5 kills less than you did. then the opposing team instead of having the courtesy to be respectful at your misfortune, starts shouting pwned.
but you never answered my question. did you ask your parents bout live?

I've probably taken more smack talk than 20 girl gamers if this is the case

the new maps like relic are very cool..however, if you ask me it's a waste of money to buy them since you can only play them in custom games for now.
I was thinking the same damn thing.. i dont have many friends on to be playing custom games 😬

Isn't that stupid?

yes I know that
the real pros should only be at level 30-40 right now but with the chances being at about 2 out of 3 of getting a game against a modded team you cant level up anywhere and i'd delevel my other tag but it's just tooeasy to kill lower level people and is boring.
LOL, This is funny stuff.
Whats up Aska,
We should help these guys level up, add "NWA MASTA" to your friends list and Aska and myself will try our best to level you guys up. I am still a level 14 on that tag. Lets do this tonight. I'm bored.
And one more thing, I know this is my first time posting on these forums, but I would have to say that the sniper rifle is the most important weapon to control in the game because a skilled sniper can control the fate of the entire other team, no matter what level. Why does every game you start playing revolve around who gets the sniper rifle first.
There was a funny story about Halo 2 saving some marine's lives out in Iraq.
So there was a couple of marines right? And they haven't had a day off in a month. So after they finish their work, they go back to the barracks to play a little Halo 2 Splitscreen. And just after they get into their first Slayer game, a rocket hits the warehouse right where they would've been standing if they decided to keep working.
Pretty amusing, eh?

I haven't heard anything about a stat reset....who did you hear it from?Besides even if there is, starting back on level 1 wouldn't bug me so much since I would just be climbing the ladder on all the maps with everyone else....gives me some extended playability
that's because you're a low level that easily ontainable in like an hour though... 🙁
