He is thinking about what Medea said, about living in the matrix, never leaving, never seeing Zion again, and balancing it with the fact that the captains agreed Zion would lose, and that by siding with Melitus, Jericho has been helping resistance against the machines. Meltius, you know that our faith bind us to zion. Afterall you know the future, it seems. Just as the Orcale can forsee thing i think you know what our ultimate answer will be Meltius. We cant believe what Jericho believe, we wont believe it. It may be true but that where faith comes in. Faith is believeing when it may not be the popular thing to do, or it seems that it may be wrong. I have faith that Zion wil win this war and thus I do not see a need to join you...
