"Hmm....yeah. At least now we'll be more careful about that kind of stuff..."

(as we just sit around and babble to kill time, apparently...)

If you remember, Ariadne said she spotted something unusual in the code. But a spammer hasn;t been used in a long time. She'll know another one if she sees one; that was a one-time trick by Jericho, relying on that it was a disused tactic.

Sorry if you are bored. I wanted to give you guys time to evaluate and theorise, lest the Combat Path just become a series of action sub-games. But I shall move things on if you want.

You might want to wonder about why those two Captains in particular disagreed. That Dallas and Morpheus agree on something should be a shock.

Yeah, the irony in the fact that it's Dallas and Morpheus actually agree on something occured to me, too...

Can you think of reasons why they did?

Well, it's kind of obvious why Morpheus wouldn't believe Jericho, because Morpheus believes in the One. I don't know about Dallas, though. You got any ideas, Rex?

Yup indeed, Morpheus has faith in other things.

Well, the FIRST thing you guys have to do is organise a sensible way to dig through to that channel in the rubble, in the dark.

Ares starts shoving rocks away at the indicated point they should be digging.

Dunno...maybe Dallas and Morpheus at one point were friends and both believed in the one, but had a fallout?

Yes, possible but I think that Dallas and Morpheous, No matter how different externally are accually very very simalar on the inside. Both are hardcore, do anything to succeed, kinda people. Morphous(Sp?) doesn't belive Jerico because of Neo. Dallas on the other hand, he doesn't believe Jerico because he cannot. His personality doesn't let him. Dallas is too hardcore to believe this can be lost. As shown by the little "we are all dead" speech. Dallas allways believes that another way is possible. All he has to do is find it.

O and i think we should use the butt of our weapons to dig.

Much better theory...

As for digging with the butt of guns...we're moving rocks man!

I think Burn may be on to something there...

You may, or may not, have noticed that Dallas' favourite phrases are "It'll be alright," or "They'll be fine," whenever Ariadne points out some seemingly unsolvable threat.

-

"Ok," says Dallas, "there is a big pile of rubble on the north side of your room. You want to kinda climb two thirds up that, and start moving through rocks there."

Ok I guess I'll go over to the pile and start doing the mole-act.

Well, this is where a nice plan may help, becayse that is a precarious way to dig.

Oh I meant to Say that the Whole mole-act was to take place AFTER we climb the pile!

Yup, sure thing. Even so, though, this could be a dodgy task, so if people want to outline any useful way they can help... just getting the teamwork vibe going here...

Am I Ok again?

Hmm,
We should make liek an assembly line.
on or two ppl sould get up on the pile and more the rocks to ppl on the bottom wo put them in another pile.

You aren't feeling great, Cloud, but everyone is in at this point, so play on as normal.

Well, that does not sound like a bad idea for starters, Burn.

Also, if there are any dodgy rocks that might cause everything to cave in, we might try to prop them up with other rocks.

(Relaying...)

Mors climbs to his feet, supporting himself with his katana. He coughs and wipes some dust off of his trench coat.

"Tell me where this broken man would be of greatest help..."

Cloud clambers to his feet and picks up his katana.

"I hope I don't have to go through that again."
