I think for the sequel, they need a new Batmobile completely. I think they should set it a few years later, maybe like 5, and by now he's got basically everything laid out. Possibly an adjustment or two to the suit, and a brand new car, plus he has been working on the skeleton models for the boat and stuff, and he has the plane already. I think the Batmobile should look nothing like it does now, I think it needs to be sleek (no fins though, ugh, Joel you suck) but not the monster-truck/tank look like it has now.
I'm sorry, I have to wet my pants now.
I did NOT take advantage of my 2-meg work line to see the trailer the other day. I took advantage of my 2-meg work line to *drool* over the trailer. That makes it ok.
this is gonna be an absolutely yummy movie. I used my slow personal line to download the trailer. took from about 6:15 to about 9:45, but....yyyyyyyyummmy! can't wait!
(but I still think the car looks like a tank)
ps----any word on soundtrack/score album? not the orchestral stuff in the movie, but an album of contributing artists? anyone heard anything on this?
also, who is doing a novelization of the movie? and please tell me it is not Peter David. if it is Peter David, then lie to me and tell me it is not Peter David.

Does that matter? Hopefully they won't put songs in the movie. I can't stand it when they come out with songs "inspired by" the movie or something, thats a waste. Last I heard for the soundtrack of the movie, not the "random compilation of songs with the movie's name slapped on it cd", Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard were doing it, but Idk for sure. I personally love these two, but I have concerns about how they can do a superhero movie. Danny Elfman's music was the best...I just don't wanna be let down. I'm especially nervous knowing how Nolan has very mellow (wonderful, yet mellow) musical scores, and that doesn't work for a superhero movie, and so far the only music we've heard in the trailers has been very low and mellow. I don't want a Batman theme that isn't something that can sound triumphant.
batman triumphant? i dunno. his pose is not the hands on hips, head held high kinda pose, triumphant music. that's superman. he poses in front of the bad guy while batman sneaks up behind the baddie and ties his shoelaces together, and disappears without a sound. it shouldn't be joyous, triumphant, john williams kinda theme, unless he's in the mood to do another jaws type menacing theme (not that i think two cello notes will do for batman!). and anyway, i wasn't talking so much about the music heard during the movie. i was talking about I guess what's called a "soundtrack" (right?) for example, the one for Forever had seal, U2, pj harvey, etc. that kinda thing.
not triumphant as in the superman theme, triumphant as in its powerful and it moves you. You have to admit that the Elfman Batman theme at full blast is powerful. And it was used with great effect for the triumphant music at the end of the first movie. Soundtrack doesn't have anything to do with the movie so I doubt you'll hear anything about it until it immediately comes out, unless they stupidly try marketing the movie with a few songs like Spider-Man and Daredevil did.
golly, I have to change my name from Sileas to "gobstopper". I can stop even the hottest thread in its tracks. wanna hire me Paola? I'm cheap! All I gotta do is post once and wham, even the most popular thread shuts down cold.
so. I forget what I was fishing around for, but I found this info on the superherohype site:
I have a followup to my scoop about Green Day being apart of the Batman Begins soundtrack. Well, I have done some major digging around and have found out some more bands that will be on the soundtrack. In addition to the three songs from Green Day (the two newly recorded tracks, and Boulevard Of Broken Dreams, the theme to the film), newly recorded tracks from The Cure, Foo Fighters, Velvet Revolver, Audioslave, Pearl Jam, Dave Navarro, Chevelle, and Metallica. Making for a total of 11 songs.
I will go back and fish around and see if I can find who wrote this, when, and if there was any follow up to it. It seemed like a post in a thread. and if i recalls aright, that Boulevard of Broken Dreams song, or the words to it, were posted in a thread that .....um, either vaya or punky started, I think "songs about batsy" or something. heh. 🙂
