Go Batsy! 😄

^^I see someone's really excited about this movie 😄

more than one!

💃 💃 💃

Im excited about this movie as well and this is coming from a guy who hated ALL the batman movies.I have a good feeling I wont be dissapointed with this batman movie because I was not at all excited about batman 89 when it came out and I hated it and usually when I get excited about a comicbook movie,it turns out I really enjoy it so the odds are in my favor of really enjoying a batman movie for once. 🙂

Not the one liners lol.

in a recent issue of wizard or so, saw pictures of the batman begins toys of batman and scarecrow. the scarecrow looks really lame and i pray to god that he looks way scarier in the movie in his scary costume!

ps----any word on soundtrack/score album? not the orchestral stuff in the movie, but an album of contributing artists? anyone heard anything on this?

also, who is doing a novelization of the movie? and please tell me it is not Peter David. if it is Peter David, then lie to me and tell me it is not Peter David.

I think Peter David's a good writer, he just doesn't stick to the movie. He'll add in all these crappy bits like he did in Spider-Man 2. He put a tank/robot at the start for crying out loud! I mean, come on, that's just stupid.

He also made Aunt May yell at Peter when he told her the truth. If you had just heard that and your heart had broke you wouldn't be in the mood for talking. When Spider-Man had a web-failure he said he fell 20 feet, a 20 foot fall would not hurt Spider-Man, in the movie it was more like 200 feet.

He also made Peter sound like a snobbish, smart-mouth jackass.
Peter's meant to be a lovely, nice kid. Like he was in the movies.

Well, I didn't read the spidey 2 book (or the first one for that matter), but from what you write....... ✅ sounds totally Peter David to me. about ten yrs ago when I was in to star trek I read his books, and....when he did his best to be serious, he knew how to Create Mayhem, even with the borg, but it went over the top. and it was hard, mightily hard, for him to do anything totally serious. there was usually at least one silly element or line in each scene. that's fine if he knows where to use it, but batman....is dark. no humor, or little, anyway. no comedy. David did the novelization of the third movie, and if you think he departed from the movie in spidey 2, he really did with forever. there were funny lines, certainly, but I'm not sure the reader was meant to be lauging in the middle of what should be tense, scary chaos. peter david is a crankmaster writer, cranking out writing in a big hurry, and he is funny, and that is why he is so prolific and asked to do so many of these projects. but he ain't the best batman writer.

I had a wierd flashback the other day. not like this would happen, and I highly doubt if any of the people who visit this forum have heard of her, but....what about Katherine Kurtz? rhetorical question here. How would she do as a batman writer? i think it would be very inneresting.... sorta a combination of her gargoyles and um....Adan Sinclair, i think?.....

Batman Begins Footage Shown at Wonder-Con
Source: L February 19, 2005

Scooper 'L' reports in from Wonder-Con where Warner Bros. showed new Batman Begins footage (spoilers ahead!):

Spoiler:
Just got home from Wondercon in San Francisco. Maybe you can use this, let me know. Christian Bale was there, along with 6 minutes of completed footage from Batman Begins. The highlights:

-Bruce urging his parents to leave the opera house early, thus meaning he blames himself for the unknown mugger waiting outside to shoot them.

- Bruce meeting with mob boss Carmine Falcone, who tells Bruce that he is "the prince of Gotham. " and that he'd have to go a thousand miles to find someone who didn't know his name..and so that's what Bruce does.

- Ra' Al Ghul saying Gotham must be destroyed. And then shots of Wayne Manor on fire.

-the final, and BEST footage- The Scarecrow and Batman face to face in a dark hallway. The Scarecrow sprays some liquid on Batman, and then holds up a lighter ( the Superbowl shot) before lighting Batman on fire and then kicking him out the window to a huge fall before. The best is when the Scarecrow asks in a concerned/creepy voice "Oh, are you having trouble?" Amazing stuff.

'egoisland' added more on the presentation:

Spoiler:

was at the Batman Begins viewing as well. Christian Bale said he was on for a total of three films.

Oh, and the footage also implied that Bruce got his training from Ra's al Ghul's shadow legion.

And there was another scene after Bruce falls down the well, Thomas Wayne propels down very Batman like and Saves Bruce.

omg,,that scarecrow scene sounds MAAD!

i know...

About the music - who is to say it ISN'T Danny Elfman doing the score again?

I mean, WB own the rights to Batman, and have crossed-over the Elfman theme with the Animated Series in the past before. So why not use it again with Begins? Of course, there would have to be some re-jigging and some changes, but imagine hearring that stirring intro once again.

Oh well, you can guarantee that if Begins doesn't use it as the intro, someone will get a copy and put the Elfman theme over it. Hell I could do that.

It would make sense.

Wow, I just googled "danny elfman batman begins" to see if I could find some news.

Read the third result down - I'm famous!

Last I heard it was James Newton Howard and Hans Zimmer that were rumored to team up on it. Pesonally I like these guys a lot but I doubt their skills at doing a superhero movie. I would like to see Danny Elfman's main theme back again cause I think that was perfect for Batman, but if not, I just hope they don't pull what we've heard so far...blandness and the typical movie trailer "drum banging" music doesn't fit Batman I think.

new pic of scarecrow...

Most of us have seen it, but thanks for posting it. Although I must say I am not the least bit impressed with how he looks judging by the pictures so far.

Yeah I think they could've done a lot better with what opportunities they have with a character called "The Scarecrow". They could've made him a lot scarier.

Exactly, not to mention all the money that they had at their disposal.
