You picked no holes in my argument, you just went off and talked about your own little thing and probably not bothered to read it properly. The mask would hide Hugh Jackman's funny, wimpish face but fit with the hair. 😂 😂 😂
to start with.... well... i dun think xmen is that bad... well.. about cyclops... i agree with you cuz i really think hes..... uhm.. gay..(so sorry vamp if i used the word gay again) bout storm... i think she played very good in the first and the last movie... though i was expecting more... i really think halle's gonna play a good storm.... and well... bout wolverine.... he dint have the mask cuz it wouldnt fit the "thing" that the director would like the movie to be... the director would like the movie to be more realistic...more like uhm... mutants coexisting with humans in an everyday basis..... its not like youll see people walking around wearing masks.... i know i know... in the original cartoon series wolverine aint wearing his mask not unless hes wearing his yellow spandex suit.... but try to think bout the movie..... if wolvie wears his black leather uniform and hes got to wear a mask... try imagining this.... "a mask made of leather.." how hot and how uncomfortable would that be?? and if you think.... that hugh jackmans face is so whimpy and fat but looks fit cuz of his facial hair....and its pretty ugly... how uglier would it be if they actually made a mask made of leather??? it really would mess the whole character big time....
Fair enough that you disliked the film, and you are entitled to your own opinions but y give us all an essay telling us how bad it is when no 1 really wants to kno? People in the X-men forum like talking bout how good they think X-men 1&2 was and what they liked about the characters. Every1 likes some1 different which is good, and bring variety to the forum, but your post could have been posted sumwhere else. All you needed to tell us was:- I didn't like it. 👿
okay so now i speak 😄 so:
i wouldn't really dare to consider x1 or x2 a GOOD movie, cuz good movies usually are the ones that have a PLOT... twas really fun watching x1 and x2, and laughing my arse out while yelling 'die b*tch! or 'awwwwwww how dramatic' but yeah, the main problem was that the dialogues were TOO DAMN dramatic and didn't actually make any sense, so i just laughed at the characters's poor grammar and lame lines... but it had good special effects and was kinda funny and i liked some of the actors (pyro, wolvie, magneto especially). i just adore to laugh at the fake dramatism in movies, which OF COURSE doesn't make them actually GOOD movies, but they're fun to watch 😄 oh god i think i'm repeating myself and not makin sense... i'll end here 😄

X- Men was just completely terrible in the way of showing off the good original cartoon and comics(Evolution is also bad). The dialogue is mind-numblingly boring, the set pieces, scenes and special effects where not really impressive to say the least and the casting was awful.
That guy who played Cyclops had absolutely no screen presence to pull off a part that definately required it. Like Tobey Maguire in Spiderman he looked like he was just about old enough to legally drink milk and wear a bib.
Halle Berry as Storm was totally a misdirected casting as she also did not fit the image of a kickass mutant (She fries Toad and makes a mist... what a part!)
Hugh Jackman as Wolverine I just couldn't take seriously enough, he just didn't have that Wolverine attitude(or mask-total mistake because I loved the mask); he just walked around like he was miffed at something and occasionally getting his claws out.
Mystique in the comics and cartoons is a central figure in the plot, in the film however she's a naked , scaly, ugly, blue thing that runs around and holds no apparent influence in Magneto's plans.
Sabretooth was just a long-haired rockstar(with fake hairy eyebrows....ewww) in a long, brown coat who growled every so often and apart from dying did nothing of any importance.
I agree with some of the casting. Cyclopse could have been better indeed. As for Storm I think its more the way here character was made then the actress herself but.Wolverine in my opinion is the best cast, I think Jackman nailed it.
The changes in the characters, like Mystique are acceptable, it would really look stupid if she changed with clothes on or if she had to take her clothes of to change. And watch the 2nd movie to see how important she is.
The movie had a small budget (for a blockbusted) and the shooting time was shortened (it was suppose to came out at Christmas and it came out in May!)
The other thread was closed because the member that started it (Alic I think)actually ended up seeing the rest of the movie and enjoyed it. I closed it because ppl were replying as if he still did not like it.
Oh and has for the mask thing...in the 1st movie I can say that Wolvie doesnt even have a suit. The one he is wearing belongs to Cyclopse, (thou the strips are yellow, that a mistake). Now he doesnt have a mask in the 2nd either so that excused has to be ruled out, the movie is made from a serious point, dispite the mutant thing, so a mask would be really lame.
Then you go off and attack evolution, have you ever watched saturday morning cartoons? It was very good for what it had to work with. I would rather see it at as rated pg-13 or pg. Have you seen the filth on Saturday mornings? Mucha Lucha, Pokemon its just rediculous. I liked X-men Evolution it was a pretty good show. What did you not like? It was a kids show.
