This chapter pretty much solidifies that Madara was gay for Hashirama. Calling people ugly based on strength, calling Hashirama the strongest, has his tattooed to his chest. Yeah.

Seriously though, pointing to Hashirama's face on his chest and asking Tsunade if she was related to it was a dick move. haermm

Also I would like to note that I still don't like Itachi because he's a Sue of ungodly proportion and is still responsible for the Sasuke we see today. This chapter makes me kindo neutral to him though.

Wonder what Tsunade is supposed to do now? I mean she look like she wants to do something butI hope this isn't just a tease.

itachi's personal mission:

itachi's duty to maintain the peace of his village was a task he was able to shoulder himself, and he had the forethought to tie up loose ends by having his brother not only get revenge for the clan, but to outlive him and carry on the uchiha legacy/bloodline by making sure he survived and get strong enough till he did kill him. with his death it would negate the hatred he tried to orchestrate to be directed at himself for the act, his only mistake was that sasuke developed the "uchiha hatred" for the senju's rule, and his fail-safe technique well...failed, though, there were added factors that led up to this like naruto, and tobi's demagogue routine/lies. he even compensated for orochimaru's manipulations.

but ofcoarse he's not done yet. he's going to tie up more loose ends even as a corpse.

the man's skills:

i really don't need to go in depth here cause it's pretty obvious how well he performed. i think his standout skill was his handseal speed.

all in all, he was a true shadow in the ninja world, he barely said much and wasn't ostentatious in the least bit, as he was tasked to save his village and protect his investment.

So basically: He's an idiot. Well I knew that much already.

His plans concerning Sasuke were so dumb they bordered on the insane.

All it takes to be a good ninja is being a good mercenary. Since that is what ninjas were. Mercenaries. Ninja is just a fancy term for mercenary, and while they did specialised mostly in espionage, they would do basically whatever paid/ordered to do.

Son.

So while Itachi is a good example of a "troo ninja", he is by no means unique in that regard.

Naruto is a shitty ninja though. "**** what my Village says, I know bettars!"
