I don't recall them needing to really distract anyone for her to use it in the Asuma fight.

Also, yeah, female characters do get gypped in Naruto. It's sad, but true.

Don't get me wrong, Hinata could be ****ing amazing and at least comparable with her peers, but based on current showings there is nothing to say she is.

I was under the impression that Sasuke was Kishi's favorite character. How else can we exlpain all the gimme powerups?

How do you figure Ino didn't need either? Chouji and Shikamaru finished Asuma off.

Nah...she didn't need a distraction because she controlled Chouji, however, he wasn't moving so no real feat there. Also the two zetsu appeared to be just laying there as well. It's impressive she could control two of them, but I'm no sold on her hitting moving targets with it either. Especially since she would be wary to do so and leave her self vulnerable. Hence the reason she is teamed with a genius where her technique is pu to good use.

He's not. Apparently right now his favorites are Choji and Bee(which is cool because I like both of these guys).

Indeed. But she didn't need their help to do her mindswitch. She was also able to dodge his ninjutsu and deal relatively well with his taijutsu while in Choji's body.

She didn't need their help because she was actually using the technique on one of them. I admit it is somewhat impressive that she blocked a few attacks, but I still don't find it leaps and bounds over what any of the other female characters can do. Right on par actually. Honestly, she should be able to at least parry some of Asuma's attacks. I would expect any of the characters to do the same, except maybe Tenten. nah, now that I think about, even she should be able to dodge them. (She does practice against great taijutsu ninjas)

You know, given the raw quantity of weaponry, I'd bet Tenten would be a really tough foe for many chunin to even special jonin types.

I agree, except that they always defend it somehow. I completely understand how Temari did it, she's a wind element, but everyone? She is another character who doesn't get a fair shake.

'Everyone' is a really short list, though 🙂

I mean, Neji's got a stop thrown objects almost as a 'thing'. Heavenly rotation makes him immune.

Then there's clone-Tenten, and, well, yea.

Finally there's Kisame, and she actually managed to be useful there with her kunai bomb. Much higher level foe in any case.

We might see her be properly overwhelming to a foe if she fought someone normal for a change.

Characters I really don't care for:

- Sasuke and the two dudes he hangs with
- Danzo
- Hidan

Valid point. Although, hasn't Lee also dodged her techiniques as well?

I dunno. Neji and Tenten definitely train together, so we can assume Lee likely does, but I don't think we've seen it.

Lee is faster than most Jonin.

Him dodging it is not a bad showing for Tenten.

I figure with his speed it wouldn't be that far of a stretch.

Also, I think alot of the secondary characters could be pretty powerful if they got more panel time.

Yea, I'd say so too. Any you have in mind?

^ Well, obviously I think that Hinata could be pretty BA if given more panel time. konohamaru comes to mind. kid did learn Rasengan, an A level technique.

Shino also seems like someone who could shine with more time.

I agree, but In left him out since they do have a few fillers showing him improving to a point where I think he would be comparable to most of the Konoha 13
