Because if something *did* go wrong- and remember, they were worried about internal problems more than external- then it'd happen outside the village.
Mito probably did the same thing. And there was a barrier around the cave too.

Meh, I agree. Minato's lucky that Iruka decided to act like an father/older brother to Naruto. His plan would have gone up in smoke if Naruto ended up like Gaara/current Sasuke.
To be fair, I'm surprised no one made the connection that Naruto was the 4th's Son. I doubt there were other Uzumakis in the village when Kushina was married to Minato.

For the first part, maybe it's because Sasuke's dad didn't like Minato...I mean he did give Sasuke the cold shoulder for the longest for some unknown reason. 😐
Then there's the issue of trying to pass of Naruto's lineage as a famed sealing clan so late in the story.
For the second part. I can kind of understand but wouldn't they make sure to get some better personel like Hiruzen or something. The Anbu are notorious for not being able to do anything in this series.
Meh....considering Hashirama most likely was still alive back then, I doubt they would have that much trouble keeping the Kyuubi in check.

No one could know. Kushina and Minato died. Only the 4th and a few select individuals that were present for their death, knew. They were also sworn to secrecy. There were other Uzumaki's, too: Nagato. Stands to reason that there are several other Uzumakis around in the ninja world.
BUT...the blond hair and blue eyes should have been a dead give away, imo.

It's not Naruto having sealing techs thats the problem, it's the fact that a clan like the Uzumaki's were supposed to be tied to the heavily tied to Konoha yet nobody makes mention of them. In fact, you don't even know the Uzumaki or Mito even existed up until Kushina's flashback and even then only Tobi and Madara have confirmend their existense. They may have been sworn to secrecy, but there were enough pieces to put together and conclude that Naruto was the 4th's son.
Nagato and Mito are the only other Uzumakis we know of. The Uzumakis were likely dispersed and rare.
That and the fact that he had the last name of a woman who was married to a dude that had the same features as he did was why I was surprised.

Why were they ordered not to tell Naruto about what happened? Is it because Sarutobi wanted Naruto's parents to get to tell him everything when the moment came? If so, that was very nice of Sarutobi to do that. It shows a reverence for parenthood and respect for Naruto's fallen parents. I think I see why, now, actually.

We only get to see small snip-its of history during flashbacks. However, they probably all learn about the ninja histories in school when they prepare to become genin. No joke. They learn all sorts of bullshit in ninja school including math n'such. Remember the chunin exams where they had hard math questions and only a few were able to answer them?
Also, you're forgetting about one major reason we know the Uzumaki existed as a clan: Naruto. Then there's also Nagato.

Kushina was likely protected by secrecy while she was alive too. Never officially announced to be the jinchuuriki, even the marriage could've been a secret as a protection measure.
