True, but all he's displayed are Rinnegan techs in battle, when we know he's capable of more. Not saying Nagato knew the MS techs, because I don't think he did, but that doesn't mean a Rinnegan user cannot use MS techs. Madara activating Susano'o shows us that Rinnegan users are capable of using MS techs. They just have to know them.

Yeah, he hasn't. To be honest, he should be capable of using A's Raiton Armor now, or at least a slightly weaker version. awesome

Prolly coz he's seen Mokuton in battle so many times. Once he knew that Kabuto had altered him, and he saw Hashirama's face, he started spamming Mokuton.

I'll also note that the Mangekyo techniques came pretty naturally to Sasuke, and Rinnegan hasn't shown the copy or precog techniques of sharingan either.

Madara is someone who had EMS, then gained Rinnegan. It's no surprise he didn't lose his EMS techniques, but that doesn't mean one can't get Rinnegan without 'em. I think, say, simply adding Uchiha chakra to a powerful Senju/Uzumaki will likely do.

He could have had some help with Amaterasu instead of needing to be caught between a rock and a hard place in order to unlock it. Tobi's shown more interest in manipulating than training him and the same applied to Nagato. I'm not saying it can do everything the Sharingan can, and I never argued otherwise. As the Sharingan is an evolution, it makes sense that it can do stuff the Rinnegan can't (and vice-versa), while there are some common factors between the two.

Right, because he knew how to perform the MS techs. If Susano'o were restricted to MS, then Madara wouldn't be using Rinnegan while Susano'o was active.
Do you mean adding Uchiha chakra to an Uzumaki/Senju would unlock Rinnegan? Don't think that would work. Tobi has Uchiha chakra, and he has Senju chakra. Yet he needed to steal the Rinnegan from Nagato.

I do really wonder how Nagato got his. He isn't any bit of Uchiha on his own.

True. He at least doesn't seem to be an Uchiha, and he awakened strait to Rinnegan.

How he did that is beyond me. Easiest answer would be he took Madara's eyes and put them into Nagato. But Nagato shouldn't have been revived with them. So I'm thinking Tobi just did something to help Nagato get his own.

The Rinnegan is an evolution of the Sharingan.

Tobi has a room full of Sharingan.

And if Tobi transplanted a sharingan into Nagato, he should not have been revived with said eyes. Unless the Rinnegan had become part of his DNA somehow.

I can't recall but was Danzo ever brought back with his eyeballs? Cause if he was then Nagato getting a transplant wouldn't be too far off.

Danzo wasn't brought back period.

Or Nagato is really the son/grandson of Madara, who unlocked the Rinnegan. 313
