Kabuto finally gets some back story. Right when he is up against a new eye jutsu. End of Kabuto?

Kabuto is dead meat.

BUT, I think this conflict will end with Itachi disappearing and Sasuke deciding to take Orochimaru's mantle somehow. There has been too much of Oro going on as of late for his legacy to die with Kabuto.

Don't know if Kabuto will die, but he's likely going to lose this match. Still, if he does lose, it'll mean no more Edo-Madara, who is a blast.

I don't think Kabuto will go down before Madara just because thats too easy and negates us of a satisfying victory for the Kages. We might cut away again to the Kage fight just before Itachi does something stupidly heroic and sacrifices himself to stop Kabuto.

Though if Kabuto goes down doesn't Tobi's 6 Paths of Pain go with him? Maybe Kabuto will actually win. mmm

Dunno about that. Previous chapters have shown us that the Kages have a very low shot at winning against Edo-Madara. Kishi has also kind of hinted that Itachi stopping ET is the only way to defeat Edo-Madara.

Didn't Naruto already remove the chakra rods and force Tobi to suck up his Paths of Pain/Bijuus?

Well, there is another obvious conclussion: Kabuto is defeated and is either killed by Sasuke or he kills himself, the ET goes on forever; the Kages get to beat Madara fair and square, Sasuke absorbs Kabuto's essence so his brother rest in peace or some sh_t.

Well, I was thinking that Kabuto could just dispel Itachi's ET. He may no longer have mind control, so why doesn't Kabuto just "turn off" Itachi be ending the jutsu?

Something is funky, here. Kabuto is playing them.

^ In doing that, he would turn off every other ET as well. Unless Kabuto/Orochimaru have demonstrated the ability to stop the ET of a singular body.

I asked this question a while back after Nagato was taken out. Seems like nobody knows right now.

Then again Kabuto did turn off Deidera's ET body after the assault, though I'm not sure if the other bodies were active

The koto genjutsu seems to have overriden his direct override, though, and I think that's how he'd normally deal with individual bodies.
