It was okay to the end I agree. My favorite fight personally is the gaara/lee fight in the chunin exams or maybe the Jiraiya/Pain fight.
I figured as much.

Which is exactly why the win was so ridiculous in the first place. People use this to prove Sasuke's strength when it is clear that Itachi wanted to lose.
No one here, as far as I know, is stupid enough to use that to prove Sasuke's strength. Except perhaps NemeBro.

Whether he was in the right or not is completely irrelevant. That fact is he he beat a guy who was severely limited making the showing very unimpressive. Fighting him on equal terms and winning would have been much more impressive.
Except from a narrative perspective, it's much better than Sasuke beating Orochimaru in a fair fight because then Sasuke would truly be overpowered(for the time). Itachi did beat Orochimaru in a fight that was heavily stacked in the latter's favor. And you know what? It sucked.

Okay, but then by your logic, Sasuke is not the only character or even the main character that makes others look strong. Every one does that.
No, a Worf is chosen explicitly because they're strong. When Kishi was planning the Kage summon arc, he needed someone for the Kage to beat up. Enter Sasuke. On the flip side, when he introduced Pain, he let Pain beat the crap outta Jiraiya to show that he was strong. Sasuke just happens to be a good Worf in general, surpassed only by Kakashi...maybe.

I wasn't referring to you guys in general. Just other debates on Sasuke in general.

not sure what fight you are referring to. I'll have to look that up again.

Really, with his showings, he wouldn't be the character i would assume is strong. He barely ekes out victories for the most part, and his greatest feat, the defeat of Itachi, was decided before the fight began

Those other debates are stupid then.

If Sasuke had beaten a healthy Orochimaru, it would make him seem very overpowered.

The strongest opponent Kakashi has beaten in a fair fight is Zabuza. The strongest opponent Jiraiya has beaten in a fight is nobody.
Worf's are not decided based on what they've done onscreen per say. They are decided based on how strong the audience thinks the character is. Sasuke's defeat of Deidara for example leads one to believe he is a strong guy. Similarly, Jiraiya being one of the sanin leads one to believe he is a strong guy.

More so then he already seems? Besides, I was referring to the itachi/Oro fight you mentioned. I just don't recall the specifics of that fight.
You said based on his showings you wouldn't consider him very strong at all right? So he shouldn't seem overpowered to you.
Orochimaru shows up, he is a giant Hydra snake, Itachi cuts him up a bit, and then stabs him, ultimately killing the guy. End of fight.

I would consider him a step below Itachi. So not weak, but at this moment, without knowing the extent of his EMS, no I do not think he is one of the strongest around. besides, I'm not using my personal opinion as fact, thus I was using the general opinion that he is one of the strongest.
That was what you were referring to? I hardly call that the odds stacked in Oro's favor. Sure Itachi was weak, but Oror was only in the form of a snake. It wasn't like he was at the level he was at when he fought Hiruzen. Plus, I give the Itachi the win over Oro so no big deal there.
Itachi is one of the top 10 strongest characters in the series. Being weaker than him is true for every single character Sasuke has fought. It's also worth noting that Kishi is probably more biased towards Itachi than Sasuke.
Itachi was dying in that fight. Not two minutes later he collapsed and died. How is that not stacked in Orochimaru's favor?
I mean much weaker than Itachi. I think bee would give Itachi a good run, but I agree with the rest. However, I don't believe that the people Sasuke fought, besides, Bee, would have given Itachi any real problems at all unlike Sasuke.
They were both less than 100 percent in that fight. Oro was not fighting with his full capabilities. he did use a strong attack, but it is hardly the one I think he would have used full strength. But it doesn't really matter, since, I agree Itachi>Oro at any time.

Orochimaru was in apparently his strongest known form (yes he was stronger than he was when he fought Hiruzen), while Itachi was near blind, and on his death bed. Orochimaru definitely had the fight in his favour, yet he was casually spanked by Itachi. A badass major villain like Orochimaru going out like that is incredibly lame.

Sasuke didn't give Itachi any problems, save perhaps one surprise that I can remember off the top of my head. That strong technique is the strongest technique Orochimaru has ever used, save perhaps summoning Manda or using Edo Tensei(both take prep really).
The first point, I don't get. I know Sasuke didn't do much to Itachi which is why I said Itachi>Sasuke.
Prep that he already has. A summon doesn't take a long time and he has the edo tensei on call. Had he been full bodied, he probably could have led with that first. Although I don't see the point of this argument anyways, since I have stated that under those conditions, Itachi should have owned Oro, and even both at full health, Itachi>oro.
