really? What has Oro ever done that is better than what Tsunade is showing? He had one great showing against Hiruzen and that was because of the resurrection jutsu. The three sannin fight was lousy for all of them. Until just recently, I thought that Tsunade was the weakest one, but her strength, suprising speed, and durability are making me think she might have taken ole Oro.
Orochimaru survived getting cut in two. His regen is at least as good as hers, probably better. He has shown to be able to react to Sasuke, who is one of the faster characters in the series and went toe to toe with 4 Tails Naruto. He also has stronger summons and in general has better techniques.
Which is a mixed bag really. On the one hand, Jiraiya certainly wasn't trying to hurt Naruto, meaning he certainly would hold back something like Sage Mode, while Orochimaru...well I don't think Orochimau was aiming to kill him but I can't be sure.
On the other hand, Jiraiya's knowledge of seals is certainly better than Orochimaru's based on showings so I'd think he would probably have used one of them to calm Naruto down. Orochimaru was just having a fun fight so his certainly had to have been a longer fight.

You sure? Cause Oro has a higher rating by .5. Also, Oro was the one that fudged up Naruto's seal...the seal set by the "highest showing" seal maker: Minato.
But...but...but....Jiraiya was the one that noticed that Oro had fudged up Minato's seal and then fixed it. So I do not know which one is better. If you consider that Oro was his generation's "genius" that tries to master all ninja arts, it should be obvious why Kishi gave oro the .5 edge out over Jiraiya. Just to baselessly speculate, it could require more talent to mess up seals with another seal than it does to fix messed up seals? Meaning, repairing existing seals is easier than breaking them.

For all her strength, she can't do anything to put down Oro. He tanked a punch from her and was up in a couple of seconds.
As for putting her down, simply swallowing her will do the trick.

Not that I am defending the Databook statistics (which I find to be stupid), nor am I saying that the 'Hand Seal' stat is for Fuinjutsu, but I don't see Jiraiya's mastery over Fuinjutsu to be superior to Orochimaru's.
Though there isn't solid proof, Orochimaru likely created the Sealing Talismans used in ET, as he is said to have perfected the technique. Said Talismans are strong enough to the point where it would take a hax genjutsu to over-ride a weaker version.
He also created the Cursed Seals.
To be fair, Naruto has less material to search through than One Piece and the chapter titles are pretty self-explanatory than Bleach.
That and it is my favorite of the 3.
DP: While he created the Curse Seals, it's clear the seals are far from perfect as they often kill the person they're placed on.
Jiraiya has sealed Amaterasu, the burn everything thing.
Seems to only apply to his first few seals, or at least the Cursed Seal of Heaven which is supposed to be superior to the rest. Numerous random mooks had a CS in Part 2. In any case, I'd say its a combination of the seal being powerful, and the body of the person being weak.
Pfft, Itachi sealed Amaterasu into Sasuke's eye with a finger-poke just before dying. I'm not impressed by what Jiraiya did. vin
Seriously though, it is a good feat, but meh, I place the CS and ET seals above that.
There was also that sealing method that stopped the Mind Awakening Pill from killing the person who ingested it, that while performed by the Sound 4, must have been taught to them by Orochimaru.
I'd imagine it is easier to create a seal around the medication you yourself created. 😛

And...I don't think Orochimaru created the seal for ET. Remember, the Anbu observed the revival of the Kage and knew what the seal did. Since Edo Tensei is a forbidden jutsu and Orochimaru wouldn't be able to experiment on it openly enough for it to be common knowledge, I'd wager it's part of the original technique.
Not easy to create a seal that prevents death though. 😛

Fair point, but he could have easily experimented upon it during his time in Konoha when people kept disappearing, while trying to find a way to reincarnate himself. That, and he perfected the tech, which involves a bunch of seals.
